I went into Great clips and got a fade from Ryann she was extremely personable and didn’t rush to just get the haircut done and out the door. She wanted to make sure I was happy with what I got and did an amazing job with my medium fade and hard part

I came in the evening. I advised the hairdresser I have been trying to GROW OUT my hair and bangs. I requested a TRIM not a CUT. I asked specifically for no shorter than “one inch and a half.” She agreed. I asked for some layering in the front to blend in my bangs which I have grown out. I explained that I didn’t want the back completely straight across at the ends. I wanted a little subtle layers at the ends; texture. (Not all layered everywhere like freaking Farrah Fawcett.) I NEVER ONCE said I wanted layers all over my head or in the back! So she cut off at least 4 to 5 inches and my hair is COMPLETELY RUINED! This is not at all what I wanted or asked for. When first I looked down at the floor and I saw all the hair I was like **whoa that’s a lot of hair** and when she showed me the back of it, she mentioned my curls will be so fun with all these layers. I was pretty much in shock and I don’t have the heart to tell her that I am very displeased with my hair. I said great. I made a joke about if anybody ever gets a bad haircut, I tipped them and paid them and left. I was thinking maybe it won’t be so bad. It’s been about a week since, and I am devastated... If only I could have seen it, I would have said to stop! (I am pretty blind without my glasses and she made me take them off. I couldn’t see what was going on until it was too late.) I want my hair back, I am so sad. I wish it could be fixed, but I don’t see how. It isn’t just that I loathe this haircut. I’m having a complete anxiety attack due to not having my hair to calm me down. It’s BFRB; I play with my hair to calm myself from having anxiety and depression, but now I can’t because you chopped off the hair that I normally play with. I’ve never had such a horrible experience with my hair. I feel like Linus without his blanket.

Have you ever been ignored and treated as though you weren't there. This place treated my cousin as though he were invisible, maybe because he is mexican. I took my cousin to Great Clips for a haircut. The first time we went there we were told there was a long line and they did not make appointments. It was 1st come 1st served. We did not wait. We went back earlier in the day on another day. When we got there, there were no other customers. My cousin went in while I went to Fred Meyers to pick up a prescription. After getting my prescription I went back and found my cousin sitting in a waiting chair. There were now 3 women there in addition to my cousin. They had checked in 2 of the women and were getting ready to cut their hair. The 3rd still wasn't checked in. I asked my cousin why they had skipped over him, and why they had started on the women who had arrived after him. The stylist gave him a dirty look as he told me he did not know why. I waited behind the 3rd women to ask why they had skipped my cousin. I heard the stylist ask the 3rd woman if she had e-checked in. She clearly said that said she had not. She was told that it would cost her $8.95 which was the price for a senior discount. They checked her in before turning to my cousin. They said that he would have to wait for the 3 women to be finished before he could get his hair cut. They also said it would cost him $18.95 even though he is a senior citizen. I asked why they were making him wait when he had been there first and why it wasn't $8.95 like the others. The stylist said the 3 women had e-checked in before my cousin arrived. I clearly heard the 3rd woman say she did not e-check in, so the stylist was lying. I told them that when my cousin arrived there was no one else besides him so how could they check in someone else who wasn't there when he arrived. The 3 women hadn't even shown up yet. And I again asked about the price. The stylist ignored me and asked my cousin if he wanted to wait. I was afraid that if we stayed, they would give him a bad haircut, as they hadn't wanted to serve him in the 1st place. We decided not to wait and left. It was clear to me that they didn't want to serve a "mexican" and had discriminated against him because he wasn't white.
