My son was excited to get his hair done. I originally made the appointment and was wanting to schedule a service, but I was recommended by the person on the phone that my son should have a consultation. I made sure there would be enough time for him to get his hair done, and we were reassured that there would be.
My son later called the same day to reschedule for the following week because he gets paid and wanted to make sure he had enough money for a silk press, not for a free consultation. So we showed up bright and early at 8 a.m., after I worked a thirteen hour shift, for my son to get his hair done, just for him to be getting ready to walk back out not even five minutes later.
It was a stylist, whom I later learned was named Alex, trying to reschedule my son. I mentioned to her that this was not what we were told. I became frustrated with the conversation because of her lack of concern and nonchalant attitude about not having enough time to do my son’s hair. I honestly think they looked at my son’s hair and did not want to do it. That was the attitude I felt I was getting from Alex.
Alex ended up asking another stylist to do it, while also asking people in the salon what coffee they wanted from Java House, during the same time she said she did not have time to do his hair. She was still there almost an hour later and just walking around. That is okay, but it does not look good when you say you do not have time for something, but I see you not doing anything.
As I was sitting in the front, I could hear her mentioning she was having other issues in her schedule and a conflict with another appointment. I am assuming she could not manage her schedule and wanted to inconvenience us because she was clearly having problems with her schedule. She even mentioned sarcastically how great of a day it was going to be.
I felt bad for my son, and I could have stayed at work longer or been in bed. She did not give off that she cared at all. This was a completely different experience from when we were here the first time and worked with Janelle. Janelle was very friendly, warm, and outgoing.
Everyone wanted to come look at me (including owners) because I'm sure they heard I was upset yet no apology that I was upset or for the confusion. Great experience 👍🏼

Love this place so, so, so much! Natalie is a superstar! I go to her every single time for a bang trim! She saved my bangs after a DISASTER trim at a different salon that had me worried nobody could fix them! Natalie was able to, though and she killed it! Now I only go to her and she’s always the sweetest and always trims them the PERFECT way!

I have been going here for a while and I've always had a good experience. The staff is accommodating, friendly, and professional. I'm consistently satisfied with the quality of work and feel that their services are fairly priced.
Booking an appointment is easy and they've always contacted me in advance anytime a rescheduling was needed. If you're in-between salons or you're new in town, I highly recommend giving this place a try.
