Located in one of LUSH’s flagship in the centre of Liverpool, book a consultation with one of LUSH’s Hair Experts and discover the perfect shampoo for your hair. Once you’ve found one that matches your hair type, add a little something extra and get your hair styled by one of our expert Hair Lab technicians or style it your own way with our Self-styling station.
Introducing a new hair salon in Liverpool city centre, ‘The Shampoo Bar' by LUSH! Located inside the biggest Lush store in the world. The perfect pick-me-up for anyone wanting to look and feel fresh, whilst learning more about their hair type and what products and ingredients complement it best.
The services consist of having a shampoo bar expertly chosen for the clients hair, before having their hair washed by a Lush Shampoo Therapist on a comfy lay-down basin bed. They even choose between hard or soft water depending on how the client likes their hair to look.
Afterwards, you can either self-style your own hair, or Lush’s Hair Stylist and Afro Hair Stylists will expertly finish the clients hair to their desired look, utilising Lush’s extended and exclusive range of hair styling products. Plus, you get to take your shampoo bar home with you.

- LALaura Ashton5 days ago5.0I visited Lush yesterday and wanted to give a special shout-out to Erin, who was absolutely wonderful from start to finish! I'm currently recovering from surgery and using a walking stick, which I'm still getting used to. Erin greeted me at the door and immediately noticed I was struggling to juggle my stick, bag and a shopping basket. Without making a fuss, she got me a basket and offered to help me around the shop. She helped me choose bath bombs, picked them up and bagged them for me, and made sure everything went safely into my basket so I didn't have to keep bending down. She also took the time to help me find a facial cleanser to give my skin some much-needed TLC after my recent hospital stay. What really stood out was how naturally and kindly she helped. At no point did she make me feel like an inconvenience or that I was taking up too much of her time. She was friendly, thoughtful, knowledgeable and genuinely lovely to chat with. This was my first proper outing since surgery, and something that could easily have been quite stressful turned into a really enjoyable shopping experience, largely thanks to Erin. She's an absolute credit to the team, and I hope she gets the recognition she deserves. Thank you so much! ❤️

How can I book a treatment?
Currently we're not accepting walk-in appointments, to keep you and our lovely staff safe. To book in with our Liverpool Hairlab, give the HairLab team a call on 01512 366952. We'll ask you a few COVID-19 wellness questions prior to your appointment. Gift cards also are available in-store.
How do I determine my hair length?
HairLab experiences are priced according to hair length, and not gender. We use the simple measurements of:

Are the HairLab treatments suitable if I'm pregnant?
All our services (including henna application) are suitable for pregnant clients, but do involve lying down (on your back) on our comfy reclining seat for a maximum of 30 minutes. Certain experiences can be tailored to ensure the comfort of the client where a maximum of 10 minutes lying down is required. Please contact the reception team for more information.
Are the treatments okay for Vegans?
The Lush HairLab have a full range of vegan hair products available. All experiences are easily tailored toward vegan client requirements during consultation.
