Will never go back told the lady not to take any off the top. She screwed it up to the point I had to get almost all taken off top. Don't understand English. Sides and back cut none off top how hard

I feel compelled to share the extremely disappointing experience I had at your salon on 6/20—something I’ve never encountered at any Great Clips or salon before.
When I sat down in the chair, I clearly explained to the stylist, Wrenn, that I didn’t want much taken off—just a light clean-up around the edges and a trim so I could comb my hair without using product. As she began cutting, I questioned what she was doing because it was not what I had asked for. She insisted, “No, it will be better this way.” I repeated that it wasn’t what I wanted, but she ignored my request and continued cutting against my instructions.
To make matters worse, she put some kind of product in my hair—even after I specifically said I didn’t want any—and then tried to sell it to me. She simply would not listen to me at all.
Another stylist nearby noticed my discomfort and even rolled her eyes as if to acknowledge the situation, but said nothing until I stood up and voiced my frustration. At that point, she alerted someone named Debbie, who appeared to be in charge. Unfortunately, Debbie seemed completely unaware and unengaged. Meanwhile, Wrenn continued making remarks and even became confrontational—getting in both Debbie’s face and mine. I had to ask Wrenn to stop talking so I could speak, and only then did Debbie intervene and ask her to stop.
The salon was full of customers, making the experience even more humiliating. Despite the obvious issue, no one offered to fix the cut or even apologize. I wasn’t looking for a free haircut—I simply wanted it corrected. Instead, Debbie told me she had marked it as a “redo” in the system and then, incredibly, suggested that I could still tip Wrenn if I wanted to. I was appalled.
When I returned to my car, my 13-year-old child asked what had happened to my hair. It was uneven, too short, and noticeably choppy. I had to visit another stylist at a different salon, who told me the only fix was to cut it even shorter and let it grow out. Without even mentioning Wrenn’s name, the stylist immediately guessed who had done it and confirmed she had corrected multiple clients’ cuts that Wrenn had mishandled.
This is unacceptable. I will not return to this location as long as Debbie and Wrenn are employed there. Someone needs to address this situation. Customers deserve to be heard, respected, and treated professionally—and that absolutely did not happen here.
I called the Great Clips 1-800 customer service number and the agent stated that the owner would be reaching out to me shortly, but so far, I have heard nothing from anyone.
