  I came in wanting a shag mullet with bangs. I heavily communicated what I wanted, I used 4 reference photos, and explained what i liked from each photo. Mary barely spoke or communicated back to me that she understood or anything. It was maybe an hour and a half before closing so im not sure if she had a hard day or what but if a hairdresser doesnt know how to do something its less embarrasing and less of a hassle to communicate that than have someone going home crying and to write a review airing it out. There were multiple times I tried to communicate something and it seemed to be completely disregarded. I specified I wanted to keep as much length as possible. When she asked how much was I comfortable with being cut I said an inch at most. she asked me where do I part my hair, I i said “the left but I want bangs so middle is good”. She parted to the left anyways and said shes’d get to that when she’d work her way to the front. Emily had to step im a few times to assist Mary with how to make my layers look less choppy. This is not a beauty school. No one should be on the floor if they dont know how to make layers choppy no matter how thick or curly someones hair is. I told her I’d trust the process, but when I leaned forward to examine the length and I had long stringy front pieces she hadnt gotten to yet and a bob behind them i was so ready to get out the chair I just had to let her get the front pieces inline with the rest of the hair. Then came the bangs…I was ready to go home. I didnt wanna be rude so I tried to communicate the best I could without being an asshole but apparently that wasnt enough??? im being told its not that bad but its not what I asked for and my hair looks so sad. Please PLEASE communicate with your hairdressers when they may need to go back to school or something this is not okay. Im going to have to wait another 8 months to grow it out and get the cut ive wanted for months because someone would rather do a bad job and get paid than respect the integrity of a hair salon and their job and communicate that they may not be able to do something. im so upset. the only time mary really spoken was the numerous times mary voiced her lack of confidence in my hair while cutting it— I wish she had done that before cutting off 3.5 inches…

  Saw Mary and it was a horrible haircut. She seems lost and results in a bad haircut.
