  I really wanted to avoid leaving a negative review and tried reaching out directly to the general manager first, but since I never received a response, I feel this is my next best option. I booked the NOW massage with the Deep Tissue add-on and clearly explained that my main concern was significant low back pain. Unfortunately, the service I received did not match what I booked or communicated. Very little time or focused deep tissue work was spent on my lower back. Most of the session consisted of my limbs and body being shaken and some stretching techniques. It felt much more like a sports-style session than a Swedish massage with deep tissue work. There was very little actual massage, and I left without any real relief. I emailed the general manager after the appointment to share this feedback and kindly requested a redo session with a therapist who actually provides traditional Swedish massage techniques with deep tissue focus on the lower back. I never received a reply, which was especially disappointing given the cost of the service and the fact that I tried to handle this privately first. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves both the quality of the massages and their responsiveness to customers. — Lisa H

  OMG. My husband booked massages here for our 6-year anniversary… Jen was my massage therapist. She was MAGICAL. Truly gifted at what she does. If I didn’t live almost 50 miles away, I’d be a regular here. I hope I can travel down to Atlanta to visit this place again. The ambience, the staff.. everything was perfect. They need to build a location in Gainesville!

  I think because I chose the last appt. (6:30). I booked Deep Tissue with another service and the lady called me and told me one didn’t go with the other, because one is relaxing and the other is deep pressure. Anyhow, I got the relaxing one and I asked her would there be enough time if I booked the (80min) 6:30 appt. due to them closing at 8:00 and she said that there wouldn’t be any problem. The lady they gave me was not good and had a touch light as a feather and I told her I wanted pressure...it was more of a rub and No pressure and when she turned me over she didn’t even rub the front part of my arms and hands, but she did my legs. I added the eye treatment and it was just the patches on for 10mins or so and that was that. Her breath smelled bad 😫 and I literally thought she was passing gas.😖 I didn’t fall asleep at all and I still need a massage...what a waste of $195. I wanted to stop her early, but I didn’t want to be that person…so it was making me very anxious. I told the front desk clerk that I didn’t like it and maybe I should’ve just booked an earlier appt. And she was like yeah they be tired by this time of the day. The lady didn’t even walk me out…even though I had to go to the bathroom afterwards, but usually they wait for you and guide you out and give you water…nope when I found my way to the counter she had her bag and left out the door. Lastly, I could hear a lot of talking while I was getting my massage and my therapist even shushed the persons, but they kept talking and later started cleaning and banging drawers trying to get out of there I guess. Burlap walls and even though the bed was warm the fans was blowing on my back and making me cold. Although it was a gift for me I should've done my research before booking. Still needing a massage after a massage is diabolical.
