  We tried getting our 2-year-2-month-old’s ears pierced, but unfortunately she didn’t cooperate. During the attempt, the device didn’t fully go through on one side. Since we went close to closing time, the nurse practitioner suggested we try again another day and allow at least two weeks for healing before reattempting. As first-time parents, we were already a bit nervous, and the whole experience felt a little rushed.

  It has been two months since I got my second ear piercings, and I am incredibly disappointed with the experience. I specifically chose and paid for solid gold to ensure proper healing, but once the infection began, I realized I had been misled. While the front appeared to be gold, the posts and backings the parts in direct contact with the piercing were made of a different material. This caused a severe infection, significant pain, and sleepless nights. After seeing blood and discharge, I had to remove the jewelry entirely. It is frustrating to have paid for high-quality materials only to receive subpar jewelry that jeopardized my health and the success of the piercings.

  I wouldn't recommend coming here if your child has a disability or is on the spectrum. The "nurses" have zero bedside manner. I made an appointment and we were absolutely rushed through the process. The fees weren't transparent. $20 for a small spray bottle of solution and they expected a tip?! My daughter couldn't breathe afterwards, she was in pain. The nurse knew she screwed up. One of the piercings is very close to her cartilage which was a mistake. She has very large lobes and the piercing was angled instead of straight. Again a mistake. The tiny ball earring droops straight down its so messed up. One is perfect, although the nurse wasn't kind to my child. Now I'm going to have to explain why im going to have to take one earring out so it can close, reheal do she can get it redone correctly. The trauma of it all is malpractice. Pretentious and not worth the two hour drive.

  We had such a great experience at Rowan! Tamika, the nurse who pierced my daughter’s ears, was absolutely amazing—so patient, kind, and professional. She took the time to explain everything, made my daughter feel comfortable, and turned what could have been a stressful moment into something really special. You can tell she truly cares about what she does. Highly recommend!

  If you’re thinking about piercing your ears or adding to them, Rowan is the place! Excellent customer experience. Faith took care of me today and I can’t say enough wonderful things about her! Explains everything very clearly, always asking if I had any questions and walking me through the entire process!!!! It was the easiest time I’ve ever had getting piercing done! I’ll be back there in a few months to get the helix on my left ear done!
