  I wish there were a way to give zero stars or even negative stars for the nightmare of a haircut my 77 year old mother received. I am writing this through tears because I feel responsible. I suggested my sister look into taking her to the local Great Clips. My sister stopped by and said she was going to give it a try after reading a few good reviews. I trusted that. That was a mistake. My mother’s hair was hacked so badly that there isn’t even enough left to properly fix it. It was cut extremely short, almost down to the scalp in most areas, except for the top front, which was left longer, uneven, and completely without shape. The cut is so short that it exposes her brain surgery scar, which is unacceptable. Who would think that is a nice way to cut someone’s hair? Even the shortest parts are uneven throughout, with random strands sticking out. The best way I can describe this haircut is careless and cruel. I asked my mom what she asked for and she said short, cut around the ears and easy to style. Frankly there is nothing left to style I understand that “short” can mean different things, but I would expect a professional to ask clarifying questions. How short? What style? Make suggestions about what would be flattering? Especially for elderly clients. From the look of her haircut there was absolutely no care for the client. In my opinion this person was negligent and should not be allowed to cut hair. It is shameful and disgusting to allow a beautiful lady to walk out looking the way she does. My sweet mom is trying to stay positive and says, “It’s just hair, it will grow back.” But the reality is it will take a long time, and she will have to wear a hat until it grows back because of how bad it looks. Honestly, they did a better job at the hospital prepping her for brain surgery. Please spend the extra money and go somewhere that values their clients and takes pride in their work. No one should leave a haircut looking like this.
