The environment at Rowan is lovely, and my daughters (ages 4 and 5) were genuinely excited and felt comfortable with the nurses getting their ears pierced. That part of the experience was wonderful. However, the pricing left a bad taste. We selected the most basic earrings at $60 per child, plus the $50 piercing fee, expecting a total of $110 per child. At checkout, my total was nearly $275 before tip. I later realized we were automatically charged $20 per child for cleaner that was packaged in a gift bag and presented to my daughters as if it were complimentary. There was no clear disclosure that this was an added cost or asked if I would like it.Transparency around optional products would go a long way, never add costs to someone’s bill without discussing. While the atmosphere is great, the overall value was ok.

First, the Good: nurses do the piercings (clean, safe), lots of choices for earrings, and they’re great with kids. The bad: Unfortunately, we waited 56 minutes after our appointment time and having shown up 20 minutes early, the total wait time was 76 minutes. For a kid getting their first ear piercings and nervous about it, that’s a lot of time for anxiety buildup, and it ended up stressing out the entire family because of it. Space itself got crowded on a Friday afternoon and it was never quite clear who was waiting to check in versus who was waiting for their piercing… So recommend coming/making an appointment on the early side of the day. There were also three piercing nurses/professionals, but only one was qualified to do the needle method, which is what we had chosen, so our wait time was probably exacerbated by their minimalized, qualified staff. While they had great “bedside manner” (or whatever the piercing equivalent is), which is always appreciated, it was also clear that they were in no rush whatsoever despite the delays in the schedule. Finally, the prices of their products were very high. And, the required cleaning solution to keep everything sterile for the first six weeks was not included in the cost of the piercings or the earrings themselves. It felt a lot like opportunistic pricing.

Stephanie and Connie were amazing. I was a little nervous getting a Tragus piercing but she put my mind at ease and made the process really comfortable. Came with a group of friends and they accommodated us all. Fun girls night!

I love everything about this place, everybody was nice which is why I leave two stars, but my 5 month olds piercings are not even and the end result matters the most. We came on Sunday and approved the location of the marker on her ears after 5 or so attempts on getting the second ear matched with the other (which I should have taken as a sign). The second piercing turned out to be on the bottom of the dot, not on it. We thought it appeared that way because they are loose when put in for healing but when we went about our day and kept looking at it, that's definitely not the case. I'm upset and trying not to be about it because it's not terrible enough to redo but it's also not what it was supposed to be and could potentially become a bigger issue later. I have not mentioned my concern but I also don't know what could even be done at this point. Update: Crystal (not the original nurse) made my daughter's earrings even and I'm very happy now knowing my daughter won't hate me when she's older having crooked earrings lol

I walked in only to not be greeted, I wanted over an hour as a walkin. There were two nurses and one of them completely ignored me together with the cashier just chatting and only the other nurse continued piercing. The nurse I had named Stefanie was sweet and very helpful, yet I felt unwelcomed and the shift in energy as myself and other Latina customers were hand only to the nurse I had. Disappointed and hope it can improve!
