I really liked the fun atmosphere and cleanliness. The options for needle and device piercings were good and simple. We did have a strange experience because after we were told to pick out our earrings, which we chose in 1 minute tops, no one acknowledged us for 10 minutes. We just stood there waiting our turn I guess, we weren’t sure what we were waiting for. There was only one other person in the store being helped.
The piercing went very well, they cared about accuracy and wanted the placement to be correct. This was very much appreciated. They did a very nice job. He took his time and was very kind and precise.
A problem occurred when we went to check out. They showed us the total and I was confused at first because there were 2 $80 earring charges when we had 1 $80 and 1 $60 earrings. I assumed there was a mixup with the labels and we checked out. I looked again and mentioned it to him. He didn’t bat an eye before saying he messed it up and put the wrong earrings in. He messed up so he charge us for the earrings he mistakingly gave. So, he was going to charge us for his mistake, not tell us about it, and have the wrong earrings in. He did refund a service charge which was the right thing to do. We are still not sure if he actually put the wrong earrings in because the diamond studs look very similar for the $60 and $80 prices.
I was honestly taken back that someone who wants to be a RN would lie to make $20 and not honestly tell us the mistake when it happened.
We are happy with our piercings, just didn’t like the feeling of being taken advantage of.

I took my 2-month-old baby to Rowan to get her ears pierced. The place itself is very clean, modern, and visually appealing. It gives you a sense of safety knowing that a nurse is performing the piercing, which was very important to me as a mom.
However, my experience with the nurse we were assigned to was not the best. When she marked my baby’s ears with the guide dot, I felt it looked too high and not centered on the earlobe. I politely expressed my concern, but she responded by telling me to let her do her job. I decided to stay calm and trust the process.
It has now been four months, and thankfully my baby did not have any infections or reactions. That part went well. However, in my opinion, the piercings are placed too high and not centered on the lobe. I noticed it right away, and several family members and friends have independently commented on the same thing, so I know it’s not just in my head.
Overall, the facility is great and professional, but I do wish more attention had been given to my concerns about placement before proceeding.

Based on the other reviews about a wait time recently maybe something should be done…Drove over 30 mins with our 4 month old for our APPOINTMENT to be told once we got there it would be another 45 mins. People there were already waiting over an hour. Had to drive another 30+ mins home with nothing accomplished. Didn’t realize I was going to a Doctor’s office. Absolute waste of time.

Awful experience, I understand that there was a callout, but when we checked in there was no say of a "possible wait time". Neither were we told about the callout until an hour into waiting where we were told there was to be another hour of wait time, turning into a two-hour wait time for an appointment made days in advance. Its basically a waste of time making the appointment. We ended up leaving without the piercing because there's no reason to wait for two hours for a pre-made appointment.

I’m very conflicted about our experience here.
On one hand, it was a fine experience and I appreciated the care with which our piercings were done.
On the other hand, it was excessively expensive, and I’m not sure the experience, piercing quality, or earring quality were so exceptional as to be worth the exorbitant amount we paid.
Granted this is mostly on me for not checking pricing more carefully before going, but I was absolutely shocked with the price tags once we were already neck deep into the process at the store. I knew it wasn’t going to be as cheap as Claire’s but I didn’t expect it to be minimum $200/person (plus tip!) for a plain old lobe piercing on both ears. I had used their website to try to price things out ahead of time and expected about $100/person (which already felt on the high end), because it was not obvious that pricing is not only PER ear but also PER earring. Again, this is my own error but I want to make it blatantly obvious for others who are planning to come. I didn’t find the earrings especially cute so I settled on their simplest ones (a titanium post with tiny cubic zircona stone) for $68 per earring (!!). Again, maybe I am out of the loop but that felt excessive.
They ring up the aftercare kit at checkup without telling you how much it costs or asking you if you want it.
And then they had the audacity to ask for a tip at the end. It just felt like extortion at that point.
Also, I didn’t think an appointment would be needed midday on a Tuesday but I was WRONG. (Make yourself an appointment before you go.)
If it had been a more lovely, inviting experience I might not have minded the price so much but it felt very crowded in the store, the lady was kind of snobbish to me when I walked in, things weren’t explained clearly, employees seemed rushed and overwhelmed, and once it was our turn we were ushered quickly in and out of the chair. It wasn’t the “celebratory” experience that the founder gushes about on their walls and website.
