As I sat down, I was greeted by a friendly face, and they began to work on my hair. We had talked for a little while, she had mentioned she was fresh out of cosmetic school, which in its own right is not inherently bad. However, she began to talk about changing up the idea I had, thinking that it wouldn't hurt to let the hairstylist figure out my hair, I went along with it. I should have known better. The next 10 minutes I sat oblivious as the back of my head was transformed. Upon completion, a mirror was held where I couldn't see the back of my head, trusting the barber, I paid, left, and was on my way. It was only when I had entered the car that I had realized not only was the top hair was far shorter than I had ever asked for, but I had ended up taking the appearance of some kind of mushroom or phallic shape when viewed from behind. We managed to salvage the rest of the cut when we returned home, and since then I have found far better barbers. My faith was lost in chain shops that day, and I am fearful of the powers of a bad cut now and forever more.
