Unfortunately, our experience at this specific location was entirely negative across two separate visits, resulting in a one-star rating and the loss of three regular customers. Our first bad experience involved my son. The stylist, who appeared to be an older employee, was described as grumpy and unprofessional. She repeatedly asked my son to keep his head straight, and she forcefully pushed his head multiple times to adjust his position. This rough and annoying behavior is completely unacceptable for customer service, especially with a child. Hoping it was an isolated incident, I returned a month later and received service from the same stylist. My own experience was similarly unpleasant, confirming the issue is with the stylist’s demeanor and approach. I've never had a stylist tell me to do this before. The second issue occurred during payment. I attempted to use a Great Clips prepaid card for which I only had a photo of the physical card, a method I have successfully used at Great Clips locations for over 10 years (especially with cards purchased during the Thanksgiving promotion). The stylist immediately stated that they could only accept the physical card, acting as if manually keying in the card number was impossible. When she consulted with another employee (who appeared to be the manager), both refused to even attempt to find a solution to process the card manually, despite my explaining my long history of being able to do this at other stores. I was ultimately forced to pay in cash. This experience demonstrated a complete lack of customer service, competence regarding store policy, and willingness to accommodate a long-time customer. Due to the poor service and the ridiculous payment hassle, we will no longer be visiting this location or potentially any Great Clips location.
