  I had a very disappointing experience at Great Clips on Mahan Drive. The host stylist who attended to me was Cathy. Initially, everything seemed fine. I received my haircut, but afterward, I felt there was still more hair that needed trimming. I politely asked Cathy if she could cut a little more. She responded, “More?” I said yes, please. She agreed, but from that point onward, her attitude changed. She began cutting my hair very quickly and without any clear order. From the beginning of the appointment, I had also noticed that her hands were shaking while she was cutting my hair, which made me very uncomfortable and frightened. I was genuinely worried that she might accidentally cut something other than my hair. The situation became worse during billing. Cathy came to the counter and added the haircut charge. I informed her that I had a Great Card to use. She appeared unsure about how to apply it and pressed several buttons before saying she had found the correct option. She then asked me to pay, which I did. However, when I received the receipt, I noticed an extra charge. I asked her why there was an additional amount. She told me that I had received two haircuts and therefore had to pay twice. I was shocked and explained that I had only visited once. She said that because I requested her to trim a little more, it counted as a second haircut and I needed to pay again. At no point did she inform me beforehand that asking for additional trimming would be treated as a separate haircut. Throughout the discussion, Cathy was rude and arrogant, repeatedly insisting that since I “got two haircuts,” I had to pay for two. This was never explained in advance, and I felt misled and unfairly charged. This was the worst experience I have had at this location, and I hope this issue is taken seriously.

  I haven’t had a haircut this bad since the 1980s. I went in with a haircut I loved, thinking I would need a trim to the bangs , told Nate I didn’t want to lose the length. He and the other stylist criticized my last cut from GC in TN. He cut the bangs too short, I even showed him the pictures that got me the last cut I loved. He cut 4 inches off the length. It might take me six months or more to grow my hair out to the way I liked it again.

  This place used to be a 1 star, but the two new guys that have been there for a few months are awesome. Great haircuts. Short wait times. They are crushing it

  I used to like this place and went here over another close salon. They must have changed management. There were only 2 stations as the others were empty with know stylists stuff at any. I would assume they only have 2 people working there. I was a little apprehensive and ask the individual how long he has been cutting hair and he said 3 years. Worst cut I ever had and won't be back until they correct the staff.
