- MPMarianne PowersJan 12, 20261.0I contacted Amanda the owner on 12/4/25 for a very small beach wedding on Tuesday 12/30/25. She pressured me via text and email to sign the contract because she was getting other requests for that Tuesday- 26 days out - to secure the date. I signed the contract and was required to pay in full for services, including a 20% gratuity and a $50 fee to coordinate with my vendors -which she would not be doing. On 12/4/25 I was still waiting to hear which of my daughter-in-law’s wanted to have their hair and makeup done, but Amanda indicated she’ll just include them in the quote and “we can take them off later”. I said no just include 4 now and we will add the 5th later. Remember I had to pay full because it was less than 30 days out. One of the girls changed her mind on having services done 2 weeks prior but Amanda would not refund for her services because they’ve already booked time in their schedule -so the headcount went from 4 to 3 on a Tuesday. Then I found out the week before my beach wedding a cold front was coming in. It was going to be a high of 56° that day. Of course I was crying. All the other vendors move the date to Sunday 12/28/25 - even the caterer who had another wedding and corporate holiday party made it happen! Amanda told me she could not accommodate that date. I had a lot of stress going on during this time and trying to make it a beautiful day and Amanda was far from professional in her communication and would not budge on refunding anything. It’s not like this was on her books for a year, it was literally 2 weeks and it was on a Tuesday. She indicated that as the owner, it is my responsibility to apply our policies consistently in accordance with the service agreement signed 12/4/25. These terms exist to ensure fairness across all clients and protect the business. She would not even refund the tip or service fee. As the owner, I felt she was taking advantage of me and unprofessional- A tip is paid for services performed, and none were performed- how do you consciously keep the tip - that’s fairness? I was in business for 18 years and I know there are accommodations that can be made, but not going to happen with Amanda and her business. My wedding day was a gorgeous 77° day with a beautiful sunset. I found a very talented woman who flew back from New York visiting family for the holidays to accommodate me. She was outstanding, kind, professional and made me feel beautiful. God sent me an angel.

She listened to exactly what I wanted, and she made me look absolutely flawless! My husband was completely blown away and crying as I walked down the aisle . I cannot say enough about the service that I received and the communication when I needed to ask questions! If you are on the fence about using them, do not hesitate these are definitely people that you need on your team.
