- OTOlivia TownsendDec 4, 20251.0Showed up to my appointment, they couldn't find me anywhere in the system, even showed them the email confirmation and that I had selected a certain stylist. They didn't give me that stylist and instead passed me off to some random new person Robin. From the start, it was evident that she had no idea what she was doing. I wanted to donate my hair and she immediately wanted to wash it, which the hair needs to be dry to donate. From there, she asked how she's supposed to cut the hair when donating, something I feel like most salons would know. I showed her my reference pictures and what I had in mind and she dismissed the pictures and immediately started hacking away at my hair. After donating 10 inches she took off probably a good 5 more, and gave me botched curtain bangs if you can even call it that. They were straight across my head and didn't blend in at all. Layers were uneven and bob-like. Even just the length of the hair was differing, with random pieces way longer than others. I also asked for a blow out, and she kept dropping items, asking coworkers how to do certain things, and at the end of it my hair was still damp. I hated the cut, and was too afraid to have her fix anything as I thought she'd take off even more hair than she did already. Another stylist eventually had me move to her chair and fixed my hair to the best of her ability while reteaching Robin everything she did wrong. Looks much better than it did, but now I'm stuck with a bob I never I asked for. While most places do this, I don't like how the person who cuts your hair also checks you out at the end of your appointment; because if I come to hate the haircut, they're staring at me as I don't feel they deserve a tip and am forced to now.
