- MHMeredith O'Brien - HashemOct 26, 20252.0NOT GOOD FOR KIDS OR IF YOU HAVE MULTIPLE KIDS!!! I went there last night for my 3 boys to get a haircut. The 2 hairdressers were nice and they did a great job cutting my kids' hair. That should be all that matters, but it's not. I called before coming in case an appointment was needed and checked in. They were polite despite my 4 year old being hyper and running around. My son touched a trimmer that was left out and dropped it. Fast forward and long story short the hairdresser gave me a snarky comment about how she "didn't appreciate how my son treated her by whipping me with the cape" once I remarked about how the trimmer wasn't brand new so let me see how I should handle this. She then thought she'd bring up how it was on camera to which I replied "that's great, because these things should not be where kids can reach them". Her feelings are valid and we apologized, but they choose to advertise kids haircuts and work with kids. I then reimbursed the manager the following day for the price of a new trimmer and was threatened that they'd take further action if they weren't provided with a price of a brand new trimmer. We all know about wear and tear but we made amends and won't be back. My kid shouldn't have touched it and we take accountability for that, but making clients feel less than welcome doesn’t go with exceptional customer service. They shouldn't advertise kids cuts if they are uncomfortable with kids not always acting perfectly because kids have moments and not all kids are typical. A kids salon is more suitable for those with toddlers or kids with behavioral issues. If your kids are well behaved and you don't value inclusion then you'll be fine and my post doesn't apply to you.

Can I request a stylist using Online Check-In?
No. For the stylist’s safety, we do not publish their schedules or allow customers to request them using Online Check-In. Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
