  I really wish they had written down the haircut I asked them to remember in their computer. I have to tell them each time and the last one was too long on top. The sides are easy. 2 guard. I'll ask them again if the next one is right. I never notice until the next day. I still like this place.

  Janet at the New Smyrna Beach location is an incredibly talented stylist and a wonderful person in general. I honestly couldn’t imagine going to anyone else for my haircuts.

  Worst service I’ve ever received! Stylist never asked me any questions about my hair type or how I normally do my hair. I informed her that I have graves desease and that, that makes my hair naturally poofy, frizzy and very wavy, and not to cut a lot off bc I want to keep it long due to my hair doesn’t grow like others due to the autoimmune disease. She took one look at my hair pulled about 2 inches up and just blunt cut it and said well that’s how much was dead. I was mortified and so pissed! Proceeded to get water boarded during the shampoo and conditioner process. And told her she was being too aggressive and she just giggled. (I wear glasses and had them off for the rest of the apt) further into the cut ( she went to use a nasty brush to brush my hair that was matted with other peoples hair; I’ll post picture) and dry she apparently forgot what I had told her so I stopped her and told her she was combing my scalp off and being aggressive she just laughed and said well you have knots, the more I cut the better that’ll get. So I reexplained that that is indeed not accurate due to my condition and to not cut any shorter! At this point I put my glasses back on to see what was happening and my hair had been cut up to my mid to top shoulder blades with no more visible layers anymore. I told her to stop cutting. She then stated well it’ll look better when I blow dry it and I can point cut it from there. She blew dry my hair and I explained she was not going to cut anymore because now it was so short and nothing like I asked for. All she had to say was that “well it’s a heathy trim that you needed”. I told her that’s not what I asked for. And she said nothing. The whole salon heard these exchanges and yet nobody intervened. I paid the $65 (posted that it’d only cost $45 for what I was getting) I said something about that and she’s just like well you had long hair that’s extra. I asked where that is stated and that I was not told that. She just said yeah it’s not posted anywhere. I let her know that they should work on clear communication and that I was not happy at all. She asked if I wanted to set up maintenance cuts for light trims. That was a definite NO, you couldn’t even do that with this cut and I would not come back to her or anyone that refused to listen to someone paying for a service to be abused in the whole time while feeling trapped under scissors and being laughed at.
