I took my 4-year-old for a haircut with stylist Jackie, and unfortunately, she seemed quite impatient, even though there was no one waiting in the lobby. During the haircut, my child’s got a small accidentally cut on his ear. When I pointed it out, her response was, “That’s what happens when you move,” which felt unfair — he was actually sitting quite well for a 4-year-old. There was no apology at that time, which was very concerning as a parent. She mentioned the haircut would be free, but that doesn’t make up for a situation where my child was hurt. Only after I expressed my concern about her approach did she offer an antiseptic wipe and a bandage. I’ve had good experiences with Great Clips in the past, where stylists are usually kind and patient with children, but this experience was very disappointing. I would not feel comfortable bringing my child back to this stylist.

No. For the stylist’s safety, we do not publish their schedules or allow customers to request them using Online Check-In. Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
