I came in looking for a few makeup products, and when an employee approached to “help,” she immediately commented on my “terrible eye bags” and even asked if I “slept well.” This was completely uncalled for and very inappropriate, especially since I never mentioned anything related to my eyes. Remarks like that can make anyone uncomfortable, especially the younger customers who shop here. On top of that, I noticed her laughing when I asked questions, which made the interaction even more uncomfortable and unprofessional. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get her name, but if I had, I would have reported her to management immediately. This kind of behavior is exactly why Sephora employees often have the reputation of being rude. It was an unwelcoming and unnecessary experience, and I cannot recommend asking for help at this location.
