  I usually love shopping at The Cosmetic Company and have spent a lot across different locations, but this branch gave me one of the worst shopping experiences. A middle-aged staff member with black hair was extremely pushy and impatient with me. Even while I was browsing, she kept hovering around, watching me, and repeatedly asking “How are you doing?” every few minutes—even after I said I was fine. The store was busy, yet she seemed to only focus on me, which felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming. I joined the $16 beauty bag program (6 samples) but didn’t realize the limit was only 2 of each item. I picked 3 of two different samples, and instead of kindly explaining, the staff treated me with attitude. At checkout, the way she asked if I was “okay with the price” felt condescending, almost like questioning whether I could afford it. When my card was declined (I explained I was traveling and the bank likely flagged it as fraud), the store had weak reception so I couldn’t immediately call the bank. Instead of being understanding, she rushed me constantly and made the situation very uncomfortable. This was such a disappointing experience, especially compared to all the other branches where I’ve always felt welcomed and respected. I hope management provides better training here because no customer should be made to feel this way.

  I’m a makeup artist and have been shopping here for YEARS! Every now and then I get a little nosy and read the reviews before going in—and today I saw one posted just a few hours ago actually that honestly rubbed me the wrong way. I felt like I had to speak up and defend the amazing staff at this store. These ladies are always so kind, helpful, and welcoming—not just to me, but to EVERYONE who walks through the doors. I’ve purchased tons of products here for both myself and my clients, and not once have I ever gotten anything expired. Their stock is always fresh! After reading that review, I actually went in and asked out of curiosity about the Clinique Acne Solutions foundation. One of the girls told me they only started carrying that line just a little over a year ago—so let’s be real, there’s no way it could’ve expired. Also… respectfully, if you’re buying Acne Solutions foundation with salicylic acid for your older mom who clearly doesn’t have acne-prone skin, that’s probably why she had a reaction. You don’t need to be a makeup artist to know that salicylic acid can be harsh on skin that doesn’t need it. That’s not on the store—that’s on the buyer. And while I’m at it, I was actually looking for that exact Too Faced mascara a couple of months ago and it was completely out of stock. So if she just recently bought it like she claims, it must’ve been part of a new restock. Again… not expired. As for the samples—I know from experience that samples are usually only given if you ask, and sometimes there are limited shades left (yes, I’ve gotten darker shades too). It’s not a slight or a joke, it’s simply what they have available, and the staff are being generous by offering anything at all. I didn’t say anything to the girls in-store because I didn’t want to ruin or bring the mood down the rest of anyone’s shift, but I hope if they happen to see this, they know how appreciated they are. They have loyal, happy customers who notice their kindness and professionalism!

  DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HERE! ***Expired products!!!!*** My mother Bought Clinique foundation and too faced mascara and broke out in patches on her skin and the mascara swelled her eye. Prior to this picture the patches were very swollen too, mimicking a black eye. Out of all the years she has been using Clinique, never has this once happened! So I decided to check the batch code on the bottom and they BOTH were EXPIRED!!! Attached are pictures of the reaction from the expired products. Not to mention the manager and staff were AWFUL! I will be reaching out to too faced and Clinique directly to report the negligent sales of their products, and giving their brands a bad name and also the the better business bureau to report the sales of expired products and horrible service. When she asked for Mac samples the worker gave her dark brown samples. Clearly you can see that she is not of dark brown complexion! The manager did it to be funny and unprofessional! This place is the worse and not worth going to try and save a buck or two when you can just get from trusted sources instead. Who knew a make up sale from a cosmetic retailer would turn into a trip to the doctors office?? My mother would have rather to pay retail price then be deceived by this awful business!
