  Not happy with the service. Had to teach the member how to do it and come back 3 times due to her being new. 40$ later still unhappy with the result. Definitely not going back there.

  I’ve been seeing Maria for years, and I truly wouldn’t trust my hair with anyone else. She’s a perfectionist in the best way, every detail matters, and she makes sure every hair is exactly where it should be. Maria stays current on the latest hair trends, really listens to what you want, and always prioritizes keeping my hair healthy while making it look amazing. Even though I’m away at college, I still won’t see anyone else and always make sure to book with her whenever I’m home on vacation. She’s simply the best.

  I paid a high amount for a deep conditioning treatment and flat iron, and the service did not meet professional standards. 1. The deep conditioner was applied and immediately washed out instead of being left on for at least 15 minutes under a steamer, which defeats the purpose of a deep conditioning treatment. 2. The hair was blow-dried and flat ironed while the top section was still soaking wet, she kept going over the bottom section multiple times (ofcourse since it got wet after being flat ironed) which is improper technique and risks heat damage and dripping over the done sections. 3. The middle part was uneven and not centered. The service itself did not reflect the level expected for the price paid that a refund should be issued. Im doing my hair again.

  I recently booked an appointment at The Hair Cuttery and shared with the receptionist exactly what I wanted, a short hairstyle along with blonde color. She assured me that Mandy was fully capable of achieving the cut and color I requested. When I arrived, Mandy seemed pleasant at first, but things quickly became concerning. She asked me which gauge she should use to cut my hair after I showed her the reference photo, which made me question her experience. When it came to the color, she used two different techniques that clearly weren’t appropriate together, and when the color failed to take correctly, she blamed my hair type rather than acknowledging the mistake. Throughout the appointment, she took long personal phone breaks, and then shifted blame to the receptionist for booking me with her. I ended up removing myself from her chair after the wash because I no longer felt confident in her abilities. I immediately contacted management and explained everything to the manager, Jay. Jay saw me the next day to fix the situation. While she did manage to correct what Mandy had done, she also made excuses for why Mandy’s results turned out so poorly, even though Mandy had claimed she was experienced with this type of cut and color. For context, my hair is a mixed Afro–Native American texture with small natural curls, which is still very workable for a skilled stylist. Although Jay originally said I would not be charged for the day prior due to the issues caused by Mandy, she ultimately decided to charge me anyway on top of my service with Jay. Her reason for the day prior charge was she felt that Mandy “did lift color.” I paid the extra cost, but the entire experience left me extremely disappointed. I will not be returning to this salon, and I strongly caution others to be careful when booking here.
