  Today I had an appointment for a haircut and Color with Shelley. I have to say she’s the best!! I’m so glad I decided to give Hair Cuttery a try! Shelley has definitely gained a loyal client!

  Super friendly group of ladies catering to walk ins, appointments, and making clients feel welcome and looking and feeling great after their service. Patricia did my tresses and had me Poppin for the annual white party. Thank you guys for the fun and lively atmosphere. Maybe have beverages for clients...just a thought...because that water fountain was super low and the water pressure was low too.

  This was my first appointment at Hair Cuttery. I appreciate my stylist's attention and my hair looks great! I will be returning. I need to get my hair colored and I have great confidence in Tori.

  I had an amazing experience with Tia! She did a fantastic job washing and conditioning my hair and curls. My hair feels so soft, hydrated, and looks absolutely beautiful. Tia was professional, attentive, and made sure my curls were cared for perfectly. Highly recommend Tia if you want your hair to look and feel its best!

  I made an early appointment at 0830 with intention of bringing my burgundy hair to a lighter red. The girl who did my hair was extremely sweet, and I’m assuming new to the field as she consulted another employee who was present at the time on how to go about the process. I fully expected to lighten my hair and was very prepared to spend my money and time at this salon. The consulted “colorist”, my hairstylist later told me was a senior employee there and actually was in charge of some sort department there, told my stylist several times my hair did not need to be lightened, this should have been a very big red flag for me and did not feel right since the color we all three picked out seemed a lot lighter than my current burgundy hair. I knew something was even more off when the stylist came back with one bowl of color for my whole head. My roots were at my natural color and the rest of my hair was light burgundy and I was concerned that she was putting only one color on my head. I felt uncomfortable but remembered the stylist she consulted was very confident showing me the light color and I was quoted about 200 dollars, so I was assuming this must be a salon grade highly effective product. I was wrong and it ended up with bright red roots and blackish hair at the bottom like I assumed would happen. Not only were the “hot roots” there but somehow the rest of my hair looked black. I’m heart broken at this point as I know I’m going to have to strip and lighten my hair (like it should have been done in the first place) but now it is ten shades darker than when I came in. At this point it’s about 11 in the morning, and the stylist went to seek some help from another senior employee, I’m not sure if this woman is a manager or just a senior employee, she approached my chair very apologetic initially, stating this happened because the bottom of my hair was darker, I am nodding in agreement like “yes mam I’m aware”, and she was asking how she could fix it, I show her a picture of what my hair looked like this morning since she came in towards the middle of this nightmare and I’m telling her just please return it back to this lighter color at this point so I don’t have to start with a black base when I go to a REAL salon, and the woman said …well we would have to lighten it probably with bleach. It takes all my strength to not scream “yes mam I’m aware”, she basically told me this would be a long process which I replied with “yes this is why I made my appointment at eight am” basically she’s refusing again to lighten it, please mind you I do not by any means have compromised hair. The stylist ends up making my roots dark to match the rest of the head and continues to cut and add some layers, I am completely awe struck I’m about to pay over 200 dollars for black hair with some red at the root. The manager type figure again not sure if she is just a senior employee or a manager she never really formally introduced herself most likely knowing I would write a review, said something about adding some highlights in hopes of mimicking maybe the final product I was expecting, disappeared after the short conversation and like kind of an apology? Never again being offered highlights or any other service. I paid 275 in total leaving the stylist a tip since I did witness her TRY to consult seniority about how to go about the process. I plan to contact corporate office about this horrible horrible experience, and am most likely going to have to pay double to remove all of what they did. Please please stay far away from this salon for coloring!
