The stylist was still finishing with another client, which was completely understandable since we were early. She knew we had arrived, so we assumed we’d be seen shortly. However, 4:40 PM came around and she was still with that client. We politely asked if it would be much longer, and instead of offering any kind of update or acknowledgment, she dismissed the question—looked at us, then looked away—and continued offering products to the other client. I’m not upset that she was running late or that she was giving attention to her current client. What was frustrating was the complete lack of communication and disregard when we simply asked about our appointment. A little courtesy and acknowledgment would have gone a long way.
