- ACAkc ch4 days ago1.0I just had one of the dumbest retail experiences I’ve had in a long time at The Cosmetic Company Store. Walked in to grab a brow gel. Found the shade I needed sitting with a group of the same products, grabbed it, paid, and left. Normal, right? Within 3 MINUTES—before I even made it far from the store—I realized it was the wrong shade because it had been put in the wrong spot. So I walk right back in. Receipt in hand. Product unopened. Easy fix, right? Nope. “Final sale.” That’s it. That’s the whole customer service experience. So let me get this straight—you can misplace your own inventory, cause the mistake, and then just… keep the customer’s money and call it policy? That’s not a “final sale” issue. That’s a “we don’t feel like fixing our own mistake” issue. And the craziest part? This wasn’t hours later. Not the next day. Not used. Not opened. THREE MINUTES. I probably spent more time standing at the counter being told no than I did outside the store. At that point it’s not about the product—it’s about principle. Any store with basic common sense would’ve swapped it out in seconds and kept a customer. Instead, they chose to lose one over a tube of brow gel. If this is how they handle something this simple, imagine if there was an actual issue. Do yourself a favor—double check EVERYTHING before you walk up to the register, because once they’ve got your money, you’re on your own.
