Today I had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in a store. I feel extremely disappointed because I have always seen MAC as my dream makeup brand since I was a child. As I grew up, I became a true fan and have always loved using their products.
Today was a very special day for me :I had my “save the date” photoshoot for my wedding. I chose MAC to have my makeup done professionally with my favorite brand, and I booked my appointment a week in advance. I specifically scheduled it two hours before my photoshoot.
I arrived on time for my 2:00 PM appointment. When the makeup artist arrived, she asked me how long my appointment was and then left me sitting in the chair while she attended to two other customers before even starting with me. After that, she began cleaning her brushes, clearly unprepared for my appointment.
When she finally started, her attitude was not welcoming. I showed her the look I wanted, and she went to get the products. Just as she was about to begin, another customer arrived and she left me again to assist them. This happened multiple times.
When she eventually started applying the makeup, it was done roughly and unevenly. The product felt poorly blended on my skin, so I tried to gently fix it myself because it was uncomfortable. She responded with attitude, telling me not to touch my face.
She then applied eye primer and immediately added eyeshadow without letting it set, which caused patchiness. Again, another customer arrived and she stopped working on me for the third time, even though she had barely spent five minutes on my makeup.
At that point, I felt completely undervalued and disrespected, especially on such an important day for me. It was clear that I was not a priority. I decided to stop the service and leave.
This experience showed very little professionalism, and unfortunately, I will not be returning to this store.
