  I’ve been to many salons around Newark, and honestly, no one seemed to really understand how to work with my straight, flat hair—until I found Sima. She truly knows what she’s doing. Not only does she style my hair beautifully, but she also takes the time to give helpful recommendations and advice on how to keep it healthy. I also want to mention Debi, who is incredibly welcoming. From the moment you walk in, she makes you feel comfortable which really adds to the whole experience. What I appreciate most is how warm and kind they both are. If you’re struggling to find someone who understands your hair type, I highly recommend them!

  I can't thank Chanel enough. She was amazing from moment I sat in chair from the moment I walked out. Very nice , personable, and overall amazing at her job. Its never easy having to go to get your hair done by someone you dont know bc youre always unsure if they will do what you want. But she was on point and made,my experience worth every penny spend. I deff recommend her to anyone and im never one to put others in a position to make them uncomfortable or feel uneasy. Thank you again!!! JC Penny hair salon is very luck to have her as a team member.

  Going into the New Year, I decided to make a bold change. I went from a very deep dark brown, and super tight curly hair, to a high and low light blonde and pressed bone straight. I consulted with stylist Chanelle for the look I wanted, and she confidently took on the challenge. She talked me through everything she did and products she used and was sure to use protect the integrity of my hairs overall condition. During my longer process I had the chance to observe stylist doing all type of hair styles on all hair types and on a diverse clientele. I 100% recommend choosing the instyle salon at JCPENNEY prices corner!!!!!

  The stylists and receptionists are very friendly. They are very good at doing all types of hair. I always had a great experience.

  The girl was super nice and it was very affordable.. but I got home and my husband pointed out that it was totally uneven in the back. She missed big chunks. All I was wanted was my hair cut straight across.
