- KMkyle mcmahonSep 23, 20251.0Checked in for an appointment via the website. When I arrived, Jen, who did not at all seem happy that I was there, checked me in and brought me to her chair. As I began taking out a photo to show her what I wanted, she began saying she’s not doing that. I showed her the picture - a high fade that great clips has been doing for me for over a year. She said “I’m not comfortable doing that”. I said, what do you mean? Do you not know how to do it?” She replied “I’m not comfortable doing that hairstyle”. I said, “a fade?? I’ve been getting it done at great clips for years.” She said she’s not doing it. I asked if someone else could and she said no, but a nice woman named Alize looked at the pic and said she could. After sitting there for a few minutes waiting for Alize to finish her customer, I decided I was done here. I’d like someone to contact me regarding this horrendous customer experience. I’m confused why 6 other stylists at great clips had no problems doing a basic fade, but Jen is “not comfortable” with doing it. I’d consider putting a menu up at each location and on the website on which haircuts the stylists “feel comfortable” doing so customers aren’t wasting their time checking in, driving to the store and waiting only to be told their “not comfortable” doing a basic fade learned like the 2nd day in school.

Now this last time I showed the stylist a picture of me with a hair Cut I wanted. She told me that's what I have all ready which it wasn't so then I explained what I wanted. She completely butchered my hair . It looks nothing like the pic I showed her. Now I have to buy a wig. she must hate the job because she sucks. Thanksfor hair you cut it so shot it going to take six months to grow it back too the length I like it at!!

No. For the stylist’s safety, we do not publish their schedules or allow customers to request them using Online Check-In. Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
