I called the salon on Tuesday and was told by a helpful employee that they would contact their regional manager and have them call me (whom I had emailed the following message to that same day). It has been 5 days since then with no call. I sent:
Today I went in for a full color and cut package. I usually go to the Newark College Square Hair Cuttery location, but decided to try here today as that one was closed. A lot of things went wrong throughout the process. First of all, my stylist never gave me her name - should've been a red flag for me. She was basically silent the entire time. I couldn't even start a conversation with her. She didn't talk through the process at any point or listen to what I had to say about my dye preferences until I repeated myself three times. I had to correct the dye in the mirror myself while it set because she missed spots all around my hairline. She missed a noticeable piece of hair (pictured). After the cut, she used an electric razor on my neck which was extremely uncomfortable, and as you can see in the picture, actually BROKE THE SKIN of my neck, and frazzled the ends of the hairs so that they stick to my clothing like velcro. The way she handled my scalp (especially while combing) would've made a kid bawl, but it was okay for me since I'm not tender-headed. I try not to be judgemental, but I got a bad feeling from the start, and I only stayed because she'd started to mix the dye for me. The overall process was slower than it should've been, and I ended up skipping the blow-dry by my own request.
The one good thing about my visit was the resulting color - not really worth all the neck irritation. I remained friendly the entire time because it's not in my nature to be hostile towards service providers, but the lack of hospitality and professionalism at this Hair Cuttery today was alarming. I will not be coming back, and I feel as though a refund is appropriate.
So we'll see what posting this review accomplishes. I am very disappointed. Please BE AWARE before you patronize this place. (Edited to include my receipt - Hair Cuttery, please contact me as promised).

The stylist Renata did an excellent job on my hair. She was also friendly and educated me about my hair type.

I shouldn’t have lied to the stylish but I will not be going back there again. I went there today and asked for an easy and simple haircut that shouldn’t have been rushed and should have been taken their time. Because my hair cut appointment felt rushed. I asked for curtain bangs, right near the lower cheeks not the upper nose, the cut is awful and unevenly cut and trimmed, the short hair I asked for was blunt across my split ends and now I can’t even feel comfortable in my own skin right now, I wish I knew what her name was but I am sorry I even GAVE them my time and money for that never going there again. I wish the old stylish’s were there because they would have done what I wanted even after I showed her my old look of what I had it wasn’t that hard it was lazy handy work.
