- KKKarenSNov 14, 20251.0Should be zero stars. Avoid STUDS and go to a proper piercer in a tattoo shop (pssst there’s literally one across the street). This shop is barely a step above the mall piercing pagoda! They did use a needle rather than a gun. Both of my daughter’s piercings (conch and rook) are wrong and her rook jewelry was put in incorrectly TWICE. She tried to call but they don’t even have a direct phone line in the shop. NOW we’re at an appointment with a proper to fix the piercer’s mess. She reached out by email to request a refund and show the issue with the piercing and no one responded. Save yourself pain and aggravation and go across the street to the tattoo shop. Studs is Not. Worth. It.

Wish I could call this location but there is no phone (Even though number is listed online? Weird choice corporate?) I had a couple pieces replaced and will be going back for more soon.

I felt so welcome, was not rushed at all while comtemplating jewlery options, and felt like everyone was so willing to help. I do feel like my third lobe piercings are a little uneven and do not look the same on both sides. Of course I agreed to placement before she pierced but it is hard to tell when it is on your own ear. In past experiences I have had piercers use a tool to measure placement, and at Studs it seems like visual comparison is used. I can live with the unevenness but I can see it being bothersome to someone who really is picky with lobe placement and symmetry. The piercing process itself was flawless, I can tell she was a very good piercer. I used to have a ton of piercings and have been to a ton of more expensive shops in the area, and the value at Studs for the service is amazing. My experience would have been perfect if placement was better, but everything else was absolutely perfect and I can live with a little unevenness! I would def consider returning in the future.
