I prefer Great Clips in Cromwell, but when I’m short on time, I come here. Once my colleagues even commented that my haircut looks partially done.

- MQmarie queAug 15, 20253.0My family and I used to be more regulars at the location in Cromwell but Maire (I think that's the Jamaican lady's name) really turned us off. Anytime you asked for an undercut or more off of your long hair she disapproved and gave you the haircut she wanted you to have. In fact to avoid Marie I hacked a bunch of the length off my hair at home. When you ask for 4 inches off your long hair that seems dry and crispy because you are ready for shorter hair and are told "no come back and see if you really want that and later we can go shorter" it kind of defeats the purpose for telling a stylist what you want. My older son's started going to another location in Southington to avoid Marie and my daughter (15) always came home disappointed and started going to Southington too. I popped in on Thursday to get my layers shaped up hoping Maire wasn't there and Edith did a great job. I hate to say it but I guess I have to start calling to see who is there when it comes time for my next cut. Marie does fine at the actual haircut but she definitely does not give you 4 inches off when you ask for your long hair to go much shorter.
