- ASAdeka SivaMar 8, 20261.0I do not feel this salon currently has sufficient expertise working with Afro texture hair type, so I would hesitate to recommend it to clients. I understand that stylists continue to grow and develop their skills throughout their careers. However, natural hair requires a specific knowledge and technique for proper washing, detangling, blow-drying, and cutting. When stylists are not fully comfortable working with this texture, it may be best to refer clients to someone else with more experience in order to avoid potential damage. I would encourage additional training in natural hair care and mentorship opportunities with experienced natural hair professionals. Investing in these skills can be extremely valuable and beneficial for both stylists and clients in the long run. For management at JCPenney, it would be helpful to ensure that staff members have the appropriate training and experience to service the full range of hair textures promoted on the website. Proper training would likely strengthen customer trust and satisfaction. In hindsight, I wish I had done more research before scheduling an appointment.
- CRChaneka RussAug 10, 20241.0Not happy with haircut. They ran a $12 back to school promo. As a walkin we had to wait over an hour to for kids cut with an empty salon. When we finally got it they are not capable of cutting with clippers on black hair texture. The promo should’ve said scissor cuts only. I will post pics of my sons cut. 😡 not to mention my son had scratches from clippers.
