  My experience here was so insanely poor. The workers were absolutely no where to be found besides at the counter. As I was going to cash out, I asked the employee a simple question about a certain product and She then ignored me. As I put my card in, she then started to aggressively tap on the reader as it started beeping. I then asked to put my phone number in to receive points and she rolled her eyes and told me “it’s too late now.” I don’t appreciate the rudeness as all their advertising seems super positive as well as all my past experiences there. I hope their employees do better!

  I went to the Sephora in the Mohegan Sun Casino today and received assistance from Gio. Such a pleasant person and he made me want to buy everything!!!!!

  I’m honestly very disappointed with my recent experience at this location. Sephora is supposed to be a space that celebrates beauty, inclusivity, and customer care—but that was absolutely not reflected here. From the moment I walked in, there was no greeting, no acknowledgment, no basic courtesy. Several employees were standing around, chatting, yet completely ignored me. This wasn’t a quick oversight either—I spent time browsing and still wasn’t approached once. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was watching other customers be greeted and assisted while I was treated as if I didn’t exist. As a Black woman, it’s impossible not to notice patterns like this. When you walk into a store ready to spend money and are met with cold energy, dismissive attitudes, or outright indifference, it leaves you questioning whether bias plays a role—and that should never be the case in 2026. Sephora is a global brand that constantly markets diversity, yet this location’s customer service told a very different story. When I finally attempted to engage with staff, the interactions felt short, dry, and borderline rude—as if my presence was an inconvenience rather than a valued customer. No warmth, no product knowledge offered, no effort to make the experience enjoyable or welcoming. Shopping at Sephora should feel exciting and empowering. Instead, this visit felt uncomfortable and uninviting. Customer service is not optional—it’s the bare minimum, and greeting customers should never be selective. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, provides proper customer service training, and reminds staff that every customer deserves respect, acknowledgment, and equal treatment—regardless of race. Until then, I’ll be taking my business to locations where inclusivity isn’t just a slogan, but something that’s actually practiced.

  This review is coming a painful 4 months late but I had to finally speak to the integrity of the employees at this Sephora location. The day of my full face makeup appointment, I was heading to CT to see my friend compete for (and later win) Miss America when I crashed and totaled my car. Thank goodness, I was completely fine but I had to call and reschedule my appointment twice along the way to the casino and both times they were super sweet and understanding and moved things around to make sure they had time to see me before the pageant started. Once I arrived and got myself dressed and into the store, they greeted me warmly and set me up with an artist (I believe her name was Laura, please correct me if I’m wrong) right away. I gave the artist full artistic reign because I no nothing about makeup and she worked her magic without overwhelming me. When I was done (with minutes to spare), I went to pay and they said it was on the house because of everything I’d been through. I cannot think of a time where I needed an act of kindness more and the lovely employees at Sephora Mohegan Sun delivered just that. Thank you for your kindness and patience with me. I’m sorry this review is so delayed but to anyone who reads this, these people care about their customers so please go visit them once quarantine is over. Thank you all again so so much.
