She told me the system had my birthday listed as March but said she could change it and that it would take 24 hours to process. I told her I could show my driver’s license so I could still get my birthday gift today, and she put her hands up and said, “No, I don’t wanna see that.” When I told her she was being rude, she got defensive and said she was going to cancel the whole thing instead of helping me. She even called me stupid to her coworkers afterward. It was honestly disrespectful and unnecessary. I left feeling disappointed. No one deserves that kind of treatment, especially on their birthday. Sephora should make sure their employees treat customers with kindness and professionalism.
- JTjane thomasSep 2, 20252.0went during tax free week, so i understand the staff was likely stretched thin. and for the most part, staff seemed very pleasant and helpful. however, the employee checking me out, sumura (i think that was her name, spelling could be wrong) was incredibly short and rude. she started checking me out while the guest in front of me was still collecting their merchandise. she got visibly annoyed when the number i gave her was not affiliated with account and then again when i did not want to open an account, before calling to the person behind me while i was still standing there. i understand it was probably a very tiring week for retail employees, and that she was likely trying to get everything done as quickly as possible, however this was probably the rudest retail experience i’ve ever had, and i am not sure what i did wrong to warrant such an attitude.
