- DRDan ReedFeb 19, 20265.0I've been going to Great Cuts for a while now. My last visit was with a stylist that I have not had my hair done by. I will say this. She did one hell of a job and made it look very well and very good on my head. I was very happy and leaving. I'm hoping when I go back again in a few weeks that I would get her again And of course I did not get the name but I'm assuming they have it on file when I get there.

- GGgh0stbreathJan 3, 20263.0I've been to this Great Clips several times in the past; I got my hair cut, colored, and styled before leaving for college in 2010 here, and the last time I got my hair cut back in march was at this Great Clips and I had a great experience! I wish I could say the same for today's visit. I came in today (1/3/2026) looking for a wash and a wolfcut; a shaggy mullet. I brought photo references since I didn't want to assume the stylist would know what that term meant. (I've attached the exact photo references I gave her plus how my hair was before the cut and how it came out afterwards) She said that would be no problem. After a wash I confirmed how long I wanted to keep it (I motioned to my shoulders) and that was the last time I'd be asked anything until the cut was finished. There was no communication mid-cut. The back was way too short, curling up just below my ears when dry, but I assumed it was because I was sitting in the chair and my hair wasn't styled. After leaving and looking at it more closely that sadly isn't the case. I don't know if she assumed I would look bad with a mullet, If my dead ends were too long to keep the length I wanted, if she wasn't confident she could do the cut itself, or if she was distracted (her food delivery came in mid-cut) but I wish if she hadn't been confident in doing the style I wanted or if there would be issues with it that she would have told me so. The only way I can achieve the look I was hoping for now is to get extensions, which isn't something I am able to do. The haircut I received isn't "bad" but its not what I requested. I am incredibly disappointed, and don't know if I will be coming back to Great Clips anytime soon.

They calmly talk with him, they are extremely patient, they take their time and the prices aren't bad at all. This is now the only place I take my son to get his hair cut, no more arguments and dealing with frustrated, rude hair cutters! Thank you all at Great Clips for such a great job!

Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
