  I can’t believe I haven’t made an appointment sooner! Rachel is amazing! I booked an appt with her after reading reviews about her cutting/styling curly hair. Let me tell you- she does not disappoint. I’ve been to her twice- I had a hair cut and then we did a curly balayage the next day! She listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me amazing results. I’m so happy with my cut and the color of my hair. I already booked my next appt with her. Thank you Rachel and Salon V!

  I love the employees and owner of Salon V. All very friendly and they know what they are doing. The proof is that I have been going to Salon V for more than 20 years. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a book a service. Go ahead and book it, you will never leave.

  The service I received was highly unprofessional and sloppy. The highlights I requested ended up being dim lights because they were longer to take and I needed to be rushed out, washed and dried (so my stylist can meet her next clients). I had to ask for cream to remove part of the residual color that was left on my forehead. Also, while blow drying my hair, a chunk of bleach was splattered on my already dry hair, while only some water was sprayed to continue blow drying. The work station was not cleaned, color and bleach containers were left close to scissors and combs. This was a laughable attempt to a standard of service promised that was simply not met. I was so angry and upset, I needed to rush out in the cold winter air. Preferring to wait outside to be picked up, than inside any minute longer. Needless to say, I will not be returning and now face an added struggle for someone else to fix in my hair. All for no less than $$. Rip off at its best; complete negligence in truth.

  Unbelievably thrilled! I've been getting "Ouidad" cuts for my curly hair the past couple years. I was looking for a change -a blown out look and din't want the expense of the Ouidad cut. I decided if I I was making a change I would like the salon closer to my home as well. I was not recommended by a friend to go to Salon V. I actually read all the reviews on line for salons on Black Rock Turnpike and chose Salon V from all others. I found my new hair stylist! The salon is beautiful and warmly decorated. The staff is professional and talented and dedicated to please. I don't usually rely on reviews. For sure i will now as I hair styling is so important and personal and I couldn't be happier! And guess what? I can still wear my hair curly with or without the "Ouidad" cut!
