I really don’t like writing negative reviews, but here goes.
For background: I have had acrylics for decades (though there was a period of time I had nothing), and this is the first time I have ever done a nail dip, so take what I say with that in mind.
I requested a French tip ‘dip’ with a square shape and had to add tips because I just removed my acrylics and my nails were short. I know that this request is already more complicated than just a regular dip, but I figured that they should be familiar with how to do it if they offered it. If you just look quickly and straight on, my nails aren’t that bad, and they look really clean around the cuticle, which is really nice. While I am not a fan of the shape, I chalk that up to the fact I haven’t had a dip before and maybe it is normal for them to look so narrow. However, I am also not happy with the consistency of each nail. A couple of them seem wonky and slanted (hard to see without looking at the videos - sorry the vids are so short... google didn't like my longer versions). Again, maybe this is normal when adding tips? The thing that is not normal is how bumpy some of them are. They are thick near the cuticle, then thin, then thick again at the tip. It feels really weird when I run my finger over them. I am going to file them down a bit to see if that helps, but I paid $87 (before the tip) for something that I would give a B - grade (at best). The gentleman who did them was extraordinarily fast (walked in at 1320, walked out at 1410), though he did take time when dipping the white, and the smile line is PERFECT :), so maybe he is just pressured to be fast instead of accurate for the rest of the shaping. If I were to guess, the fact this is a large ‘chain’ may be contributing to the quantity over quality feel? This place feels like walking into a Las Vegas hotel… mostly surface level ‘image’ but no actual luxury. I don't need to have them redone because I think most people won't really notice what I am being picky about, and I think I can mitigate some of my issues by filing them down a bit. And...to be fair, on a passing glance (like in the photos), they are perfectly adequate, so I am not downgrading by much, I just want people to have realistic expectations if they go. Also, maybe there was something I can learn about how to request this service in the future to avoid this. Maybe I just need to go to a smaller ‘non-chain’ in the future, where the service is more personal (not-rushed) and less transactional.
EDIT: I want to thank Milano Nail Spa for their kind reply. There is no need to fix at this time, though I appreciate the offer :) When I need to update my nails in a couple of weeks, I may return but for a regular dip, since I do really like how well these blend into my cuticles, and maybe once the tips grow out, they will provide a better base for shaping. Thank you again!

I am truly not sure how this place has 4.9 stars. This was one of the most unenjoyable pedicure's I’ve ever had in my life. My technician, Chloe, was extremely aggressive, quick, and made me feel rushed. Anytime I shared any concerns with her, that she was hurting me, or that I didn’t like what she was doing, she wasn’t very receptive to my feedback. They sell you this experience to make it feel like a 5-star pedicure, or whatever service you’re getting, and the free drinks do not make up for that. The most kind and sweet young lady at the front was the only enjoyable part of my experience. She kindly walked me to my chair, asked what I’d like to drink and even checked in on me after the pedicure began. She is excellent and is the only reason I’m not giving a 1-star review. Do not waste your money here. They’re also EXTREMELY overpriced. I will not be back.
Update: The manager was extremely understanding and accommodating. He offered 50% off for the service and to me, that is excellent customer service. But again, it does not excuse what happened. At the end of my pedicure, I noticed one of my big toe nails was longer and a different shape than the other. I wanted square and she gave me weird square oval nails. She was defensive when I asked to speak with a manager. I also noticed their one and only other poor review was for the same tech.
