To be certain, I immediately went to another salon and even offered to pay $10 if they could find a single nit or louse. The staff there took their time, examined my scalp thoroughly, and confirmed there were no lice at all, only mild dandruff. They completed my haircut without any issues. I left Great Clips feeling that I was not treated with patience or respect, and it made me feel singled out. As an Asian customer, I couldn’t help but feel I was judged unfairly, even though I cannot say for sure if that was the intention. What I do know is that the lack of a proper examination caused unnecessary embarrassment and inconvenience. I hope the staff receive better training on identifying lice before refusing service, and I hope all customers are treated with care and respect.
