While the location and spa itself are absolutely stunning, and the treatments were wonderful, there were several disappointing issues that really soured the experience. I booked a surprise spa day for my mother-in-law’s birthday, which my husband and I planned to pay for in full. I booked her massage, facial, and nail appointment and left my credit card on file for all charges. On the day of her visit, I called again while she was in her last service to close out the bill and add gratuity. I was told she had purchased a few add-ons, and I asked for those to be added to my payment as well. I made it very clear that everything should be fully paid for, that she should not be given a receipt, and that she should simply be told she was all set. I was assured that would be taken care of. I also noted that we would be dining at the restaurant that evening and staying there at the hotel that weekend, so if I needed to sign anything in person, I would be available to do so. I was assured that would not be necessary and that I would receive a copy of the receipt by email instead. Unfortunately, that is not what happened. When she checked out, the staff told her the bill was still open and asked whether she or I would be paying for the add-ons. They then asked her to leave gratuity and handed her a printed receipt with all prices visible for her to sign. I was so disappointed and embarrassed. The staff knew it was her birthday and that this was meant to be a gift, yet they disregarded my clear instructions and made her handle the bill herself. For a brand like Four Seasons, this was shockingly poor service and not what I expected at all. So disappointing, and another clear example of why the Four Seasons brand has been declining over time.

It was absolutely the best. It’s always great at the four seasons. The atmosphere is relaxed friendly. This time I had a haircut shampoo blowout the most amazing stylist. I was just admiring my beautiful haircut right before I started writing this with you. The four season is always the best way to spend my birthday

I had the pleasure of being assisted by Lindsey and she was able to quickly and efficiently re-schedule us as the site glitched and booked us during the weekday. She was very helpful and explained every massage thoroughly. Thank you Lindsey!

I recently celebrated my Cali’Sister’s 5.0 birthday at The Spa and Salon at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake and it was an unforgettable experience! She booked the Spa Suite, and it was absolutely perfect for a relaxing and private celebration. The space was beautifully set up, creating a serene atmosphere that made her feel pampered from the moment she arrived. The staff went above and beyond to make the day feel special — even though there was some miscommunication once I arrived… I was supposed to go directly to my Cali’Sister Spa Suite but I guess the universe wanted me to experience the top-notch treatments I selected “Solo”, I began with a pedicure… Let me tell you — about Esthela “ The technician” this was not just a pedicure, it was a damn good pedicure. From the moment I sat in the chair, I knew I was in for something special. The water was the perfect temperature, infused with essential oils that instantly relaxed my senses. Esthela “The technician” didn’t rush a thing — every step was done with care and intention. The exfoliation? Next level. It felt like years of stress were being scrubbed away, and by the time the hot towels wrapped around my legs, I had melted into the chair…Sipping my Champagne, The massage was thorough and firm — not just a quick rub, but an actual, therapeutic lower-leg and foot massage that made me forget I was still in the middle of my day. Cuticles, buffing, shaping — everything was meticulous. And the polish? Flawless. Like glass. I walked out feeling like I had brand new feet. Honestly, it wasn’t just a beauty treatment — it was a full-body reset that started from the toes up. A very special “Thank You to…Esthela!! Next up Le’Massage… The massage was everything I needed — and then some. What really set it apart was being able to choose my own blend of oils. From calming lavender to invigorating eucalyptus, I got to select a scent that matched exactly how I wanted to feel. I went with a grounding mix that instantly helped me unwind. The therapist took his time, using long, fluid movements that worked out all the tension while letting the oils soak into my skin. The aroma, the pressure, the ambiance and great conversation — it all came together perfectly. It wasn’t just a massage, it was a custom experience, tailored to me from the very first inhale. I left feeling recharged, centered, and smelling amazing. Honestly, I wish I could bottle up that moment and carry it back on the plane to Connecticut — just to keep a little piece of that calm with me all week. If you’re looking to celebrate a special occasion or just want a peaceful & relaxing escape, I highly recommend The Spa and Salon at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake. Psst! If you want an excellent pedicure, ask for Esthela — she’s amazing,Kind, detail-oriented, and a true pro.
