I booked the meditative mood soak which include exfoliating, a 20 min soak in a bathtub, and a massage. I love the space it is really beautiful, and the employees are friendly. My only complaint is that the time listed for the meditative mood soak is 1 hour 45 min, but my actual service lasted 80 min. The service was 20% off ( weekday special) so overall a worth while treat.

I booked a deep tissue massage and received a skin rub with occasional pushing into me, but never actually working the knots out of my muscles. The massage started with me laying up and ended with my back and shoulders so very little time was spent on those areas leaving me with the same knots and tight muscles I came in with. I am now sitting in my car after the massage trying to find a chair massage place to actually work on the knots in my back and shoulders.
When I came into the spa the very cramped changing room was a tight squeeze and the very full waiting room even had one person standing. When I left my massage, both were empty so I likely just came at a crowded time.
There are no amenities (sauna, steam, jaccuzzi, etc) but did have two shower stalls in the women's changing room. The rainfall shower head made it hard to avoid getting my hair wet and I didn't see any shower caps, the shower water also didn't get very hot and here weren't any wash cloths to actually get the oil off my body but better than nothing I guess. The robes were heavy and hot but were small and the sandals were also too small despite being asked my shoe size.
My masseuse was very sweet and recommended I book with one of the men if I returned since I was very accustomed to deep tissue. When I checked out no one asked me how my massage was but did ask me if I wanted to rebook. Woodhouse Spa was overpriced for the facilities offered and the massage didn't actually help my tight muscles.

I was not excited that my aesthetician (Alicia) was still trying to push a hydrofacial when the spa specifically suggested that it would not be safe because of my pregnancy. She also charged me extra for extractions without letting me know that it was an additional cost. When I asked for recommendations for a new skin product line as I was switching- I got multiple products left on the counter without specific details on regimen. Therefore left the spa more confused and frustrated with the type of service I had received while also upset that she had placed an additional charge or service without notifying me. Please do not recommend a service to someone that is pregnant saying that it is still safe to have a hydrofacial. You are not a doctor. I usually have a great experience at this place considering it’s rather expensive and does not offer the same experience/ amenities as Burke Williams Spa. This time around I was less than pleased.

Consistently a wonderful experience! My daughter has provided me with this special gift for the past 4 years for my birthday. Normally I don't take the time for myself and this is a true treat. The staff are all very gracious and the Spa itself is meticulous! From the time you walk in the relaxation begins with the plush robes & slippers, the flavored water & tea to the cozy chairs in the guest sitting room! So be sure to give yourself a little extra early arrival time to enjoy this feature and angain immediately following your Spa treatments before it's time to reenter your normal day to day hectic pace!

The decor, robes, and snack and drink offerings are lovely. I do recommend being careful when opening the door to the ladies’ room as my friend and I had lockers on the right end. At one point the host was opening the door for a moment and views into the waiting area were available - I was glad I wasn’t undressing at that moment. My signature hydra facial classic introduced me to new techniques and my skin looks and feels good. My Swedish body balance massage was fine. My massage therapist said he’d start at a 3/4 level pressure, though I didn’t know what that was out of. I figured I’d see and adjust accordingly. However, at no point in the massage was I asked how the pressure felt. I would have liked a bit more. I wonder how long my therapist has been working and what level of confidence he has.

Sauna Contraindications
Individuals using prescription medications (such as diuretics, barbiturates, beta-blockers, or antihistamines) should consult their doctor before using the sauna, as certain medications can affect the body’s ability to regulate heat. Children require pediatric approval, and older adults should use caution due to decreased temperature-regulation abilities. Those with cardiovascular conditions, including high or low blood pressure, congestive heart failure, or impaired circulation, should seek medical clearance since heat exposure can significantly increase heart rate. The sauna should not be used after consuming alcohol or by individuals with conditions that impair sweating, such as Multiple Sclerosis, central nervous system tumors, or diabetic neuropathy. Anyone prone to bleeding, including hemophiliacs, should avoid use, and individuals with a fever or heat insensitivity should not enter the sauna. Pregnant individuals must consult a physician, and those menstruating may experience increased flow and should participate based on personal comfort. The sauna should also be avoided on acute injuries within the first 48 hours or when swelling, heat, or infection is present. Individuals with metal or silicone implants should consult their surgeon before use and discontinue if any discomfort occurs.
Red Light Booth Contraindications
Individuals should avoid using the Red Light Booth if they have diseases involving the retina, such as diabetic retinopathy, or if they are taking photosensitizing medications including lithium, melatonin, phenothiazines, antipsychotics, or certain antibiotics. The booth should not be used during pregnancy, by individuals with epilepsy, or by those currently taking cortisone injections or steroids. Red Light Therapy should not be applied directly over the thyroid in certain thyroid conditions, and it should not be used on areas with active bleeding or hemorrhage due to the increased circulation response. Halotherapy is also not recommended for individuals with tuberculosis, fever, contagious conditions, severe heart disorders, cancer, advanced pregnancy, or during an acute respiratory attack. Salt therapy is not a substitute for medical care, and individuals should always consult their healthcare provider with any concerns.
