My mom did a walk in last minute so it was great she got in when she did and Barbara was nice and sweet towards her, treated her well but i’m not too sure about the hair treatment itself💔💔
Not only was there hair dye residue built up in my moms ear, all over her neck, forehead, etc… She was also a little rough with the blow drying and was pulling on her head a little bit. The color was what she wanted but it felt super rushed..
it was quite literally a CLUMP of hair dye in her ear. it doesn’t even look like it was trying to be cleaned

I made an appointment to dye my hair on Saturday at 1:45 pm. I got a voicemail on Friday reminding me about the appointment. I went to my appointment on Saturday and was told that I had been trying to be contacted on Saturday morning to let me know that if I am not there by noon on Saturday, I cannot get the service. However, I did not get any missed calls or voicemails from JCPenney Salon on Saturday before my appointment at 1:45 pm. I asked if someone could provide the service, but the lady only said they tried to contact me. I wonder why we do appointments; it is not to block the timeframe for doing whatever is planned.

My mom and I visited the JCP Salon over the Labor Day Weekend on Sunday, after having our hair butchered the day before at Great Clips on Noble.
Overall, we have to give this place a 5-Star, one we didn't have an appointment and were seen within 15-20 minutes of arrival, two our stylist was patient and actively listened, she took her time to correct both of us back-to-back including a wash.
Ask for Diana, you won't be disappointed!

I went in to ask if the hair stylist could work on my hair. the first lady that was going to help me seem really nice but then this rud old unhappy looking women who was the receptionist. Rudely interrupted our discussion and proceeded to supposedly help me when I first walked in the reception was nowhere to be found . So it took awhile for them to even help me . If you ask me that is really bad customer service . When I was speaking to one of the hair stylist the receptionist popped out of nowhere .so I told her I like to ombre my hair I have dark brown hair and also told her I know its a process and it takes time and work . Then she said what color is your hair I mean I was thinking in my mind doesn't she see my hair?. I mean what does she mean she didn't explain herself at all. I had my hair completely down so they could see the length and the color I wasn't hiding anything and I wasn't being dishonest I told her recently I had used over-the-counter box color which I know the chemicals are different from salon products. I told her I understood how hard it could be then she told me if I was going to go ask at another salon to not be dishonest and tell them that I use box colors . and I told her what do you mean not to be dishonest I told you when you asked me since the beginning so how was I being dishonest if I told you ever since I explain to you my hair color. That got me furious and I told her I don't understand there's people all around that do their hair the same way I did by coloring with box hair dye.this people go to a salon there's always someone that could do it but you're just pushing me out of here without even a nice explanation. Then this old lady says I don't care what other salons could do it . we're not going to help you here. I'm still really upset about it and never ever would go back again I went because my cousins got her hair dyed and I like the way they did it for her it's really hard to find a good salon so I was hopeful .oh and my cousin also use over the counter dying color and they seem to help her. my cousin is whiter skin and looks a little bit more American .i guess I look more Hispanic and I felt like I was discriminated and felt that receptionist old white woman was racist. Very disappointing and hurtful. If you don't want to be treated this way I wouldn't even step in there
