I had a very disappointing experience with this business.
I bought my daughter at the end of December for a piercing. At that time, the service was fine -- they were attentive while earning my business. I was clearly told that we SHOULD return in two months to change the long backing to a shorter one for FREE.
When we returned today within the recommended time frame, a staff named Mia Rin, who claimed to be the manager, told me I would now have to pay $10 per backing. I explained that I had been told the change would be FREE, but she said the company changed its policy on January 1 -- just one week after my piercing.
This is not about the extra $20. It's about integrity and customer service. If the company changed its policy, that should not apply to customers who were promised something at the time of purchase. I came back exactly when they instructed me to -- I wasn't asking for anything beyond what was originally promised.
Instead, I was told that I was "not required" to change the backing if I didn't want to pay. That response felt dismissive and unprofessional. When I tried to express my disappointment, the attitude I received was rude and defensive.
Policies may change, but honoring commitments made to customers should not. Based on this experience and the poor service I received, I will not be returning.
If you choose to go here, be aware that additional charges may come up after your initial purchase.

Studs did not acknowledge the true issue of inappropriate , poor healing due piercing angle (calling it “unhappy w placement” only) , but financially resolved the issue with a full refund, rating now changed to 2 , bc of response.
Lovely folk, but not competent. Gave me a diagonal (vs straight through line piercing) that compromises healing. Much more swollen, delicate, and bleeding than usual the day after… but more to the point, the angle was inappropriate, ie not optional for healing . The backs hit the other earring back creating ongoing and further trauma. Have asked for a full refund , photos sent via email. Let’s see. So far they’ve given me basic healing guidelines and think I’m “not happy w the placement” . Like my experience thus far, they clearly don’t understand the piercing issue.
Seek other studios nearby I say. I hope this improves practice knowledge. I made a bad choice. Good luck to all!

Honestly, disappointing. I have been following this company since COVID and had been looking forward to coming here for years. When I finally had the money to get my jewelry changed out, the experience was the complete opposite of what I expected.
I came in for multiple jewelry changes right after the holidays and had a budget in mind. I was told my budget was “unrealistic” and that I basically needed to lower my expectations or up my budget, which already felt off-putting. I still picked out pieces within what I could afford, and then the piercer took me to the back to change out my jewelry. While doing so, she had a lot to say about my pre-existing piercings and the jewelry I had in, even though they had been healed for over three years and were in good condition. For context, I’m from California, but all of my piercings were done in Colorado and had never given me problems before. There was one specific piece I was really excited to change, and they did switch it out — but it was WAY too tight. It was cutting into my cartilage, and it caused so much pain that I had to remove it. My ear stayed sore and painful for over three weeks, and the hole eventually closed.
What frustrates me most is that if the piercer had so many concerns about my existing piercings, she should have also been honest and told me that the jewelry was too small for my anatomy instead of installing it anyway. You expect professional piercers to look out for your health and decline a service if it’s not appropriate and not go through with it so l was left to deal with the consequences later.
In the end, I paid for the jewelry, paid for the change-out, and still had to remove it due to pain, and now I have to wait months before I can even see if it can be re-pierced. It honestly feels like my safety and comfort came second to making a sale.
I’m extremely disappointed that something I had been looking forward to for so long ended like this. Definitely consider all your options and ask a lot of questions before coming here.

First time at studs. Ileana, our piercer, was amazing! She was super personable, fast, knowledgeable and seemed to really enjoy her job. the front desk team was also great. Thank you, Ileana.

Hi,
I usually don’t write reviews but i thought of share my experience.
I recently visited this store for ear piercings and unfortunately my experience was disappointing. From the beginning, there was very little communication about the process or the pricing. I was simply asked what service I wanted and then taken inside without any explanation of what to expect. At no point was I told that the piercing would be done with a needle rather than a piercing gun, which would have been important information to know beforehand.
The biggest issue came when it was time to pay. When we asked for both ears to be pierced and were told the rings were $95, we reasonably assumed that meant $95 for the pair. Instead, we were charged $95 per ring, something that was never clarified upfront. It felt misleading and left us shocked at the final bill. I ended up paying $260. In August my kid got her piercing in the same mall for $80 which is so reasonable.
Overall, the lack of transparency and poor customer communication made the experience feel deceptive. Clear pricing and proper explanation of the procedure would have made a huge difference. I hope the store improves how they interact with customers so others don’t leave feeling the same way.
