That evening my lower back really started to hurt and after being evaluated by a doctor, PT and chiropractor it turns out the massage loosened certain muscles which then put more stress on my SI joint . Although I can’t blame the massage therapist 100% by any means (pregnancy hormones make things looser to start with) I did see now on their website that they aren’t certified prenatal massage therapists and I wish I had known that before. I’ve now been in two weeks of serious pain due to my SI joint and I can’t walk. So, fellow pregnant mamas, you may want to seek out certified prental massage therapists who are specialized in pregnancy
