  This store is conveniently located, but unfortunately, it’s not a place I’d want to return to. Every time we visit and spend a significant amount, there are no samples offered to customers. At other locations, we usually receive almost double the samples we expect, which makes the experience much better. It’s disappointing because it feels inconsistent—either they pick and choose who to give samples to or are just being overly stingy. Because of this, I’d honestly rather order online where the sample promotions are better. I’d recommend going to the Stoneridge or Palo Alto locations instead— they’re larger and provide a much better overall experience.

  Not sure how this location has a 4.2 star rating. This is the closest location to me and every time I walk in there to get help with foundation match or concealer, they don’t know what they’re talking about. The girl that helped me was so far off color match for foundation and concealer and it’s not the first time it’s happened to me at this location. And lately they’re so busy that you’re having to wait a long time just to get help. Just last month I walked into a Sephora in San Francisco. I was greeted right away and got help on some products I’ve been wanting to try. Makes me feel like I’m going to have to travel just to get good help at another Sephora. Sephora at the Marina Square in San Leandro really needs to get it together.

  I was looking for some lip liners and I had the pleasure of being helped out by Helen (the best name btw). I’ve never really used lip liners and I’ve just generally been pretty bad at picking out the right colors. I showed Helen my favorite lip gloss and the liners she suggested were perfect! I just tried both on and just had to leave a review because I’m so happy with the colors and I’m so so excited for new going-out lip combos!!

  I went in around 5:20pm to shop for some items (cologne and a primer) and as I was shopping for some cologne I got no assistance when the store was practically empty (they close at 7pm). I had to ask the cashier for help (who seemed quite annoyed) to get the cologne for me. Once I was done shopping around I came back to the empty cashier waiting for someone and yet no one showed up (again the store was almost empty). At this point an employee who was helping another customer rung me up after she noticed no one was working. She was the only employee who seems to have been working with a polite attitude! Terrible service
