I went in to find the Dennessa Myricks Dew it flirty pallet and had the pleasure of being helped by Aylin G. She spotted my confused look from the entrance and guided me, going above and beyond to help me find the pallet, (it's out everywhere). Her willingness to help really made my day. She's honestly wonderful person! Thank you Aylin!

Pleasant experience. Olivia was so sweet and took her time to shade match me. She also made me some samples so I could think about which one to purchase :)

Personally, I don’t usually shop for cosmetics in-store, but I wanted to try out some new products and find the right fit before purchasing. I really loved my experience at this location. The ladies who work here are so sweet, helpful, and professional. Over a couple of visits, I had the pleasure of being assisted by different team members, and every time I left not only with great products but also with new makeup tips… and honestly just appreciative of meeting such kind people. Also, I loved their new counter with mirrors for makeup sessions. They’ve really got everything you need there, from products and people to the right lighting and even the latest TikTok trends lol. Thanks, team ☺️

I’ve avoided Sephora for years because of constant frustration. Every time I went in—whether with my niece or by myself—I’d spend time trying on makeup only to discover it was sold out. Honestly, it felt like 9 times out of 10 the products I tested weren’t available to purchase. It was such a waste of time that I stopped even walking into Sephora and shopped elsewhere instead, where I could count on better service and stocked shelves. This new Almaden Plaza Sephora completely changed my perspective. From the moment I walked in, Olivia greeted me warmly and spent a full 30 minutes helping me. She was patient, knowledgeable, and every product she recommended was actually available (finally!). I left with over $450 in purchases, feeling confident and happy with everything I bought. I also discovered that this location offers waxing services, so I gave the brow wax a try. Victoria, the licensed beauty artist (LBA), was wonderful—professional, friendly, and made the experience easy and comfortable. Thanks to Olivia and Victoria, I had one of the best Sephora experiences ever. It was low-key mellow and stress-free. This store feels well-managed, well-stocked, and welcoming. For the first time in years, I’m excited to return to Sephora—and to bring my niece with me too. Kudos to the Almaden Plaza team for winning me back as a customer! 💄✨

When in here after going to trader Joe's, we had no shopping bags on us. Small child had some jerky sticks in one hand in a bag of popcorn in another. I was wearing a lightly colored body con dress.I mentioned this because there's no pockets and the way it shaped on me. You would see anything. Had a tiny little purse in hand did nothing suspicious, walked in sampled, a lip gloss, walk down the aisle to the Dior end cap by the register. sampled, some Concealers took a little bit of time to wipe them off at the makeup station. My child was so excited to find a color that matched their dark skin tone that covered scars. Did nothing suspicious, but you know what we did, do? Well walked into sephora, looking like black people. Because lp employee started walking up an awkwardly circling us and clocking my child as if we were thiefs, when we did absolutely nothing besides walk in. On the way out, I was debating buying the Huda gloss, right in the very front, that I tried when I walked in. I was waiting for the beauty advisor who was checking someone out on her little handheld device by the door. I had no products in hand, besides a tester lip liner that I'm sampling while waiting. I don't even have a new product that I'm waiting to buy, its sitting on there display still. And the same employee quickly walks up on us again and awkwardly, uncomfortably stands so close to me and grabs the same liner I had just put down. You know that feeling that comes over you when something's just not right. Yeah, well, I got that. I was disgusted at this point because what did we do? That was so suspicious, we just walked into there. There was other customers in there. There was numerous beauty advisors that were walking around, saying hello. We didn't linger, we were in and out of that store in under 10 minutes, I did not buy the lip gloss, I said, I'll buy it online if you guys are going to treat us like criminals and I'm stealing and you're gonna watch my little kid like being in there is wrong, when again we have no bags. We have nothing on our person that could even conceal anything. But you know what we did, do, we walked in there with tan skin period that was enough to be like, ah, you are the people that are gonna steal from here, and that's how we we treated.I will never shop at that location again. I was so excited when they opened because of the location. Because as a mother, I am there daily between trader joe's whole foods, costco, my banks home goods. Im there. I vowed to now shop directly from the makeup brand, skincare brands and go to ulta before I spend another dollar at sephora. It was one of the most uncomfortable experiences I been through, and it literally made me cry. When I left, because I had my son with me and I knew in my heart exactly what happened and why we were profiled like that. People try to say, oh, maybe it wasn't this.Maybe it was that no, it was clear as day. This girl clocked us and watched us because we walked in black. And she circled us and it was the most uncomfortable experience, because when you're made to feel like a criminal when you're not doing anything like why would I go back there clearly, they don't want me there, and I don't need to go there. And I don't throw that around at all like being profiled like that. But this experience was so awkward and so uncomfortable and the way that girl kept getting close to me and watching my child. I think any parent knows that you notice immediately when someone's watching you or your child when in public together. So the whole experience was just awkward. my child was like that lady keeps looking up at me and watching me. I've been a vip rouge member for ever. Because I shop at sephora since the day they opened consistently. No more. And it was also very obvious, because it wasn't even busy. There was probably like, under a dozen customers in there. But we were the ones that they were watching. The advisors were fine and nice normal. But I'll never go back there.
