  I have been going to Jcpenney salon at Stoneridge Mall in Pleasanton. I was recommended to see Lyla by a friend who has been seeing her for many years. When I first got in her chair she was very polite and friendly right away. She gave me a consultation about by thick and curly hair that is hard for me to style. I actually went in to get a haircut and some help with my styling or should I say ways to style my hair because I was tired of putting it up in a bun all the time. Lyla was very helpful and showed me ways to style my hair and she taught me ways to clip my hair back with some cute pieces to frame my face. I was very comfortable talking to her and opening up about my hair that I asked if she had time to do a color as well, ? She told me even though she was busy she could fine the time to plan in my color. I was so excited and ready for a change. She showed me the color and recommended a few colors that would suit by face and cover my greys. When all said and done I was very pleased and would scheduled my next appointment to she her again. Love my hair!

  I have been bringing my wife and daughter to JCPenney Pleasanton Hair Salon for many years. I have never been treated differently by anyone working here based on the color of my skin. It was the first time I came across someone and I was curious about this person. I researched her and found out that she was the vice president of a company. She is said to be a security cyber leader, but for some reason, how can someone who has no respect for JCPenney employees, is rude, and judges employees without listening to the other person, be the president of a company in SF? She says that she is a team leader and that she listens to customers' problems and solves them, but for some reason, she does not even listen to what the manager at the JCPenney Hair salon says and disregards the rules of the JCPenney company because she is the vice president of the software company and what she says is always right. If you are a vice president who solves problems, you don't realize how many customers like me at that JCPenney Hair Salon you are humiliating yourself in front of. Be ashamed of yourself, how did you feel in front of all the customers and employees there, just to keep from losing the cheap haircut that JCPenney gave you.

  Worst possible service by Lyla Vannarath. Have never seen a person with this much attitude in service industry. We booked an appt for 2pm and were there on time. This particular stylist booked 3 people on the same time and picking her sweet clients first and rambling on and on about her foreign trip and making us wait for a hour and half. Finally attended after an hour and finished shampoo, blow dry, styling everything in 10 minutes and also this 10 mins was spent while she started her tour story with 3.30 appt client parallely. I wanted to give a negative star if possible. She is not clean either, see the attached picture when she asked my daughter to sit after her previous client. Other raving reviews are from her favorite clients possibly. You can try this this stylist if you are fair skinned and want to try your luck.

  I love seeing Jesse for my haircuts! She just has a sixth sense for hair - and all hair types. I've seen her appointments before and after me and was shocked to see her effortlessly move from one hair type to another. We've tried a few different cuts; asymmetrical, a-line, and pixie. Her attention to detail for short cuts is intense!! I've never been disappointed with her cuts because they are truly flawless. Thank you Jesse!
