- WSwind summerSep 18, 20251.0A woman's haircut costs $24. On my first visit, I was lucky enough to be seen right away, and I tipped the stylist, Areli, $8. She was pleased with the tip. The second time I went, I didn't request a specific stylist, and it happened to be Areli again. I appreciated that she remembered me. However, her work was much rougher and more rushed this time. I'm disappointed that she would treat a returning customer that way.

I asked for a V-cut with long layers, didnt quite ask for a “face frame” I was trying to tell the stylist how short I wanted the V-cut to start but instead gave me the short face frame. Also she cut my hair shorter than I wanted and didn’t even give my hair that point like a “V” it’s just straight across. Now with the layers, I asked for long layers but instead you can see where the layers appear and are short. Not at ALL what I asked. I pushed my hair back and straight as best as I could and you can see it’s not even a “V”!!!

Online Check-In can be used for all services except perms and formal updos. Please note that not all salons offer perms. Most salons require an appointment for these services, so please call your local Great Clips salon to inquire.
Can I request a stylist using Online Check-In?
No. For the stylist’s safety, we do not publish their schedules or allow customers to request them using Online Check-In. Great Clips salons use Clip Notes®, which keeps track of any previous haircut you received at a Great Clips salon, so any stylist can give you a great haircut. If you would like to request a particular stylist, be sure to say that when you arrive at the salon and finish your check-in. Note that requesting a stylist may increase your estimated wait time.
If I checked in online, do I need to do anything when I arrive at the salon?
Once you arrive, check in at the receptionist desk to let the stylists know you're there. They will finish checking you in at that time.
