  I received a Diptyque candle for Christmas. I opened the box carefully and although I loved it, I sadly I had an allergic reaction to the scent. I brought it to the Palo Alto store in the pristine original box and bag, in hopes to exchange it for a different scent. The store manager and personnel would have no part of an exchange, and were rude and defiantly refused to exchange it. Her words “ you can regift it”. As I do not want to bother the person who gifted it to me , I am left with an upscale product I will be unable to use. The attitude and rigidity of the store policy is outrageous (apparently it was bought online from a Diptyque store.. normally all purchases can be returned to a brick and mortar store, and I was not looking for a return, just an exchange!)! It discourages my interest in ever purchasing a Diptyque product in the future. I will definitely never return to this local Diptyque store.

  A very nice boutique and the staff are more helpful and friendlier than at other Diptyque stores. My favorite scent is the Seoul city candle, which is available once a year in stores or anytime I am in Korea. I wish thecl scent was available as a car diffuser.

  Great experience at this Diptyque. Service was friendly but not overbearing. The perfumes were mostly very well-mixed with the perfumers' intents coming through very clearly. I especially loved the Philosykos EDT and the L'eau des Hesperides EDT for this reason. However, the location of the store is wrong on Google Maps — it's not next to Douce, it's in a different part of the plaza (in the area across from Jamba Juice). I wasted about 10 minutes looking for the store before I realized. It'd be best if they fixed this to avoid others having this problem.

  Fantastic product, very knowledgeable staff. Giftwrap is on point!
