Worst service … and super super rude customer service .. legit couldn’t even believe it …. The workers seem to be rude and don’t know how to do there job , as I was rudely spoken to and then the staff member walked away … never been treated like that at a store before … not good at all and one star service !

I spent $496.29 this week at Sephora (Mostly from the Devonshire location), across four orders placed between April 14–19. I needed to return three items due to poor color match/texture and even repurchased those same products in better shades and formats online. The issue came with one item ~ a dew blush purchased April 14. The manager refused to refund it, claiming it had been “overused” beyond what Sephora allows. Today is April 19. Even if I had used it daily (which I didn’t), there is no reasonable way enough product could have been used in four days to justify denying a refund. After pushing back, she agreed to issue a gift card but would not allow it to be applied toward the order that was being picked up at the same time, which made no sense. The interaction felt unnecessarily confrontational ~ more time was spent arguing than it would have taken to process the return, all while commenting on how busy the store was. When it was stated that I would be returning the full $500 worth of purchases due to the poor customer service, the manager (Krysta) responded that I would then not receive the gift card for the blush. If the product truly was that depleted, then I was likely sold an opened or used item, which is unacceptable and not my responsibility after having it for only four days. After contacting customer service, they immediately agreed it was far more likely I received an open-box item than that I had used that much product and my refund was processed in under 10 minutes. I have loved shopping at Sephora for years, both for myself and for my children. I have always appreciated the hassle-free ease of the exchange and return process, enjoyed purchasing gifts for family and friends, and valued being able to pop in for guidance from the staff. It is truly a shame that the “manager,” as the face of the Windsor location, is so set in her ways that she was unable to make a common-sense assessment of this situation. Instead of resolving a straightforward issue, her handling of it ultimately cost the store $500 in business. This experience was extremely disappointing. I have now repurchased everything directly from Saie and will not be returning to this location again. Thank you to the Sephora customer service representative that I spoke with today ~ you are the reason that I will continue to shop Sephora online (now that I know returns/exchanges don't have to be done in store).

Really disappointed with Sephora Devonshire Mall. My friend was treated like a thief just for carrying a backpack and not fitting a certain “look.” Staff followed her around, and at checkout they even called someone over to monitor the transaction, which was humiliating and unnecessary. No customer should be made to feel like a suspect based on appearance. This experience was uncomfortable, embarrassing, and completely unacceptable from a brand that claims to be inclusive.

I’m writing this review to share my disappointing experience with Sephora. Six months ago, I was charged twice for a hair product because the cashier accidentally scanned it two times. I only realized the error much later. When I returned to the store and explained the situation (even offering to let them check the security cameras), they refused to help or refund the extra charge. I let it go since it had been a while, but I was still disappointed by their response. What frustrates me most is the inconsistency in their customer service. Almost every time I shop at Sephora, the sales associates strongly encourage me to buy multiple products, saying things like, “Just try it — if you don’t like it, you can always return it.” However, when I actually do return items I don’t like or that don’t work for me, the cashiers make it extremely unpleasant. They act as though the return is coming directly out of their own pocket and treat customers like we’re doing something wrong. A particularly bad experience happened with an employee named Taylor (or Tyler) — a woman with red hair and red eyebrows. She was very rude while processing my return, behaving as if I had caused her a major problem. If Sephora staff are going to push customers to buy more by promising easy returns, they should actually provide good service when those returns happen. Right now, the gap between their sales approach and their return policy experience feels dishonest and frustrating.
