Surprisingly I had the most sad experience at this store on May 1 I went got a make up for an event which was done most most unprofessionally, I could have done better at home
The make up was caky which was visible even there and when I pointed it out she would rub it and clear it and as the evening progressed it got worse till I had to go and clean up while I was at the party
I was told mature skin has these problems
Vow !!
Wonder how others are able to do it no primer or under eye corrector was used
Second visit to the store yesterday where I wanted to return something and I was told thy because it was part of a return can only be returned as a store credit
The original purchase was on May 1 well within the return policy
Although o offered to show the original receipt the supposedly store manager was not interns stuck to her only store credit
Not a big amount maybe only 40 dollars but the attitude and the spell about the rules as totally appalling
Will definitely have to think twice before visiting Sephora Conestoga mall I think they like to cater only to younger woman with perfect skin

As someone who has always been interested in makeup but always shied away because of my lack of knowledge, going into Sephora was usually something I only did to browse around, never actually purchase anything. I never knew where to start, so I found myself only shopping for drugstore makeup because I wasn’t confident in the choices or the investment that good quality makeup costs.
But today was one of those days where I just wanted to browse through… until my life changed.
I walked into Sephora and was greeted like no other time in the past 6 years.

I cannot thank you enough for not just being “on the clock” and asking what I needed, then walking away like the first employee did. She was SO passionate about her job! She carefully asked me what brought me in today, and I was openly honest. I told her that for years I’ve wanted to learn how to do a simple beat/everyday glam, but I struggled with technique, brushes, and products.
Rather than just handing me random products, she did something nobody has ever offered me in my entire 6-year shopping experience — she offered to book me for a 15–30 minute consultation.
And wow… my life changed.
Sanjana took her time and educated me on the differences between skin types — oily, dry, etc. She explained the difference between skin tint and foundation coverage and helped me actually understand makeup instead of just guessing.
Not only that, but she showed me products she genuinely felt worked best with my dark skin tone. I immediately felt a burst of confidence when she tested the products on my face.
I walked in with ZERO intention of shopping for anything besides a Fenty lip gloss.
Next thing you know, she’s showing me a skin tint, concealer, and a setting cream instead of powder because I explained how drugstore setting powders always left a white cast on me. She even showed me proper brush techniques and educated me on the investment in good quality brushes versus Amazon brushes lol.
But Sanjana didn’t stop there.
She continued showing me what would really help pull the glam look together and finished the look with a blush that tied EVERYTHING together perfectly.
And of course, I couldn’t leave without an amazing Fenty lip combo… plus an extra gloss on the side!
Oh — and let’s not forget the Dior sample mascara I was gifted with my purchase. It literally made it look like I had clusters on!
I had to buy every single product. I couldn’t resist once I saw the results from my consultation.
This girl deserves to be recognized not just for her customer service, but for being the SEPHORA standard. She woke up something inside of me that I’ve been searching for for so long. I walked around feeling SO confident afterward.
Yes, it cost money, but the way she broke down the investment and actually educated me made it impossible to say no.

I appreciate learning new “customer service styles” during my visit.
As a non-native English speaker, I asked the manager, Nakita, to clarify a policy about using a friend’s number. She did respond, although the explanation was super brief and impatient. And when I said “I didn’t get it,” her reaction and body language turns to dismissive, and she walked away mid-conversation, while all I want is a respectful and clear explanation.
Thankfully, another staff member later took the time to clearly explain the reason behind the policy (related to previous “points misuse”), and I was able to fully understand. So the policy itself is not the issue.
It’s always interesting to see how differently customers can be treated when they simply ask for clarification, especially when there’s a language barrier involved.
For reference, I came to confirm the policy first and did not make any purchase in the end. Hopefully all customers are given the same level of patience and respect in the future.
