  Normally I do almost all of my shopping online and only rarely go to physical stores. I’ve never met someone this aggressive before. Her name was Natalia and she was working at the cash register. Normally, I was actually going to add more items to my order near the checkout, but after the way she behaved, I just wanted to leave as quickly as possible. Her attitude was so rude and unpleasant that she reminded me why I avoid shopping in stores.

  It's always busy but the checkout counters move real fast. Just a minute or so of waiting time. Ladies in my home love the store because of the variety of goods and the price is not bad either.

  I visited the Sephora Sherway Gardens location today, May 9th, and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience at checkout. While at the counter, I mentioned to the cashier that it was my birthday. She asked me to scan the barcode, but I was having difficulty doing so. Instead of assisting me politely, her behaviour became extremely rude and uncooperative. We genuinely felt shunned and unwelcome during the interaction. What upset me further was the way she handed over the birthday gift. She simply banged the free gift on the table as though it was just a piece of nothing, which felt extremely disrespectful and unnecessary. Customer service should make shoppers feel comfortable and valued, especially during simple situations like this. A little patience, kindness, and even a smile can make a huge difference. The behaviour displayed today was unacceptable and came across as very dismissive. I hope Sephora can better train employees on customer interaction, professionalism, and basic courtesy so that other customers do not have a similar experience.

  Cashier Vivian was very rude. I’m not sure if she was having a bad day, but if you are, please stay home. No need to be rude to customers who have been spending money year after year at Sephora. I asked for my birthday gift and was refused. It’s not my fault that you’re miserable. She also came off as racist in the way she treated me compared to the people in front of me and the people after me. Can’t believe people with no customer service skills getting hired for this job .

  I had a very frustrating experience at this location. I came in for a purchase and had two items to return. The cashier assisting me seemed unfamiliar with how to locate transactions — even after I provided the order number and showed the purchase on my profile, I had to repeat myself multiple times while she insisted it wasn’t there. Eventually, she found it, but the process was unnecessarily difficult and came with a lot of attitude. To clarify, I had two separate returns: • One was tied to a transaction she initially couldn’t find. • The second was due to a mistake from another store. I had purchased two items from the same brand in different colours, and when I returned one previously, they processed it under the wrong colour. I came to this location to return the other colour too. Instead of helping resolve what was clearly a simple mix-up, the manager refused the second return due to the mismatch and sent me back to the original store. What’s disappointing is that I was making a $400 purchase that same day and have spent over $1,500 recently. Yet for a ~$100 return, there was no effort to help or even look into it further. They said I need to go to other store. They need to pull their camera recording to see and confirm this happened. Wow!!! When I went back to the other location, they handled it immediately — no questions, no hassle, just good customer service. Overall, this location made a simple situation unnecessarily complicated and left a very poor impression.
