I found their attitude to be rude and judgmental, which made me feel uncomfortable while shopping. Customer service should be respectful and inclusive, regardless of the customer. I hope Sephora provides better training to ensure employees treat every customer with kindness and professionalism.

- MRMonali Ipsita RahmanAug 21, 20262.0I have been a Sephora customer for years. But in the last year or so their customer service has become a game of bingo at best and discrimination at worst. Until this month I really hadn't found one staff member correctly match my foundation shade and offer product suggestions based on my skin type. On three separate occasions they took one look at my bare face and determined I had a yellow undertone when I know for a fact that I am a cool neutral. After playing around in this hopelessly rushed maze of stereotyping by untrained women, I finally took a last shot at this store yesterday, fully prepared to return whatever product I was pushed to get. To my surprise, I met a gorgeous Black woman at the gate who sensed my frustrations as soon as I explained my previous experience at the store, and she took the time to test various products until I found something I absolutely loved. These two stars are for her 5 star service, but speaking of systems, your average staff are not trained enough to be helpful to a Brown woman of South Asian descent.
